It was a little tedious to get prepared to inflate by. But was fairly easy to get everything done. Once it was inflated, I was really impressed. I tried to punch the bag to see if I could hit my car and couldn't. So that shows me right there that this protector will protect your car under any circumstance. But as they say, the purpose in the pudding. I'm just going to have to wait for my first hailstorm to see how things go.

Update: after posting my review I was contacted by the president of the company wanting to swap the cover out with the next size down. They offered to pay for shipping both ways even though I offered to pay to send the original cover back. After receiving the smaller cover, I verified that the cover fits extremely well. It also goes on easier since it fits better. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars for the customer support. Original review: If the unit is properly sized for your vehicle, this works well. My car's length was covered by two different sizes of this cover (according to their website). I went with the larger size, and I regret it. It is really hard to keep the unit firmly attached to the vehicle, even with the straps under the belly of the car and the pull string cinched tight. It wants to float off the back of the car once fully inflated. I really want to give it 3 stars; but if properly sized, it would work well (so I settled for 4 stars). The thing gets lots of attention/comments. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to put on once you are familiar with how it works. The only real gotcha is when you need to take it off the vehicle while it is still wet/raining. I just ended up dragging it into my garage. I attempted to pull it up and over the front end of my truck to dry it out; but it was very difficult to get it to stay in place while wet (kept sliding to floor). So it sat piled up beside the truck until I could get home to lay it out in the sun. If you were in the same predicament while at work or out and about, you would have one wet trunk or back seat. The company recommends keeping it inflated for at least 30 minutes after it finishes raining to dry it out. It does help; but it will still be pretty wet after 30 minutes. I left it on for almost 6 hours after it rained and there was still moisture in/on it in some areas. Of course some of it can be attributed to the fact that mine is too large for the car (allowing water to pool in areas under the trunk).

DO NOT BUY. TLDR: Terrible quality product and you will spend almost as much sending it back after shipping and restock fees as you did to purchase it. This was an absolute waste of money. Let’s start with the set up of the product. The instruction manual is a joke and even directs you to a YouTube video which is just as awful at explaining the set up of the product. The video uses an older model and cuts out some scenes of setup with images of words poorly explaining how to set up the current version. It is terrible and looks like an amateur put it together. Which is a good segue to the actual quality of the product. First, the product is bulky and the materials are coarse. I personally do not want this constantly dragging across the paint of my vehicle everyday. The next issue is it does not fit the vehicle quite like expected. The images make it look nice and neat, but that isn’t the case. It’s not a quick process either. You’ll have to preplan for weather events to make sure this is on your vehicle ahead of time because doing this in wind and rain would be ridiculous. Also, be careful when you’re putting it on to not slam the blowers into your vehicle as they could cause damage. Last issue is once this thing is blown up, it is an eyesore. The images on here don’t quite convey how ridiculous this thing looks once inflated. Overall, I am not impressed by the quality or professionalism of this company. This was a complete waste of money and my worst buy yet on Amazon. Make your decision carefully because if you try to return it they will charge you a return fee, a restocking fee, and you will have to pay for return shipping. All of this adds up to about half the cost of the product(~$200). I decided to just eat the cost of the whole product and not waste my time dealing with this company again.

Pros: Easy Installation: The cover was easy to install, which was a relief. It fit my 8-inch lifted Tundra with 35" wheels perfectly. Perfect Size: I bought the SUV3 size, and it was the ideal fit for my truck. It’s great to have a cover that accommodates larger vehicles like mine. Space Saver: For those without garage or garage tall enough to accomodate a truck, this cover is a god send. It provides excellent hail protection for my truck. Must-Have for Certain Areas: If you're in Colorado or Texas, where hail storms can be frequent and severe, this cover is a must-have for protecting your vehicle from hail damage. Cons: Wiring: The downside I encountered was with the wiring on the blowers. The wires were exposed and very easy to unintentionally pull when setting up the cover. This could definitely be improved for better durability and ease of use. Also, another thing I didn't like is where the blowers are positioned. When the cover deflates, blowers will dragged straight to the ground. The inflatable layer under the cover can get tricky to tuck in but overall I'll give it 4 stars as it wasn't perfect based on aforementioned above. Overall, the Hail Protector Car Cover is an essential investment for anyone looking to protect their vehicle from hail. Despite the minor issue with the blower wiring, its effectiveness and ease of use make it a valuable product.
