Description

Glide freely across the studio floor in Hanami. This slip-on ballet shoe is made of high quality canvas material that stretches as if you're wearing nothing at all. The split-sole design eliminates bulk in the arch, provides maximum metatarsal protection, and allows the flattest platform to pivot on. What sets the Hanami apart from other ballet shoes is the patented technology that creates a seamless diamond gusset in the arch of the shoe. This means there is no harshly stitched line down the center that will interfere with how you point and flex. No drawstrings erase any worry of the ballet slipper coming undone. High caliber dancers swear by this slipper.

  • Great Shoe, but KNOW HOW TO BUY THE RIGHT SIZE!
Size: 10.5 Color: Pink
These are my ballerina's FAVORITE ballet shoe by far. They fit the foot well and provide a snug, but flexible fit that most teen dancers prefer. She "feels the floor" better than leather shoes and the crossed elastic provide a secure fit. Basically, she loves them more than any other shoe!! BUT (and this is a major BUT), you have to know how to size them. These are NOT STREET SHOE SIZES! My daughter wears a 8.5-9 in street shoes and she wears a 10.5 in Hanami ballet shoes. We thankfully knew this the first time we bought (I think by checking out the Capezio's website sizing chart) and ordered accordingly. One final caveat. These are NOT leather or thick canvas. They stretch and are thinner (but double layered). My daughter dances 4-5 days a week for 2-3 hours per day and after 6 months, she usually needs a new pair. I am fine with that because I want her to have a good, comfortable shoe, but they are not as durable as leather and usually by the end of the dancing semester, she has made a hole in the outer layer of fabric (this is our clue to get a new pair). If durability and cost-cutting is your number one factor, you may want to opt for a leather shoe. ... show more

  • I finally found the right size for my daughter
Size: 6 Color: Light Pink
My daughter (7yo) is in ballet and I have ordered her 3 ballet shoes! the size is so complicated... I kept getting this tiny shoes, I had to come order an adult size (6) and it finally fits!

  • Runs a little big, right size is fabulous!
Size: 3.5 UK Color: Light Pink
I love these slippers!!! At first I went with my street size, like the Capezio website says, but they were too big and the metatarsal pad kept sliding around. I actually pulled something in my foot trying to correct myself during Adagio, that's when I decided to order a smaller size. I went a full size down and they fit quite well, but I think I'll try half a size down from my street size next time! Anyway, they hug my feet nicely, the metatarsal pads are smooth and comfortable, and they look and feel amazing! If you aren't sure what size to get, err on the side of smaller! ... show more

These ballet shoes are so good. Very durable. I usually replace them every year since they do get dirty.

  • Fits true to size, but I was able to try them on in-person beforehand
Size: 7.5 UK Color: Light Pink
I was able to try on ballet shoes at a local dance store. So when I ordered these, I already knew they would fit since I was ordering the exact same brand and size. They fit true to size for me. I wear a womens street shoe size 9.5 and I am 9.5M in these. But I know my feet have always been very average. Not too wide, not too narrow, just generic and average. I will always recommend going to a local store at first, if just to try on shoes, before purchasing online, especially if you're afraid you DON'T have stereotypical average feet. My only other advice, if you've never purchased ballet shoes before, is do not expect them to be loose in any way. Don't think of them as "shoes". Think of them as "socks". They're going to fit your feet very snug like a sock would. It shouldn't be painfully tight, but they will be very snug. And they will loosen up some over time as you dance in them. Mine start out "very snug" and eventually end up as "kinda snug" from being so stretched out after months and months of dance in them. I never wash them, so they last as long as possible and never shrink. ... show more

  • Would not buy
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Light Pink
Bad experience with return. Returned right away as they were too small. Didn’t even have to try them on to know they wouldn’t fit. Returned right away. They did not want to give me my money back. Horrible customer service.
