I am always a huge fan of the Capezio brand. These are the tights my daughter has to wear for dance competitions. These tights are amazing. They are a nice, thick quality that do not rip easily. That is a huge plus when needing to change tights multiple times during the day. We always use the caramel color which always looks very nice on stage. These are a slightly "pinker" shade of the traditional "ballet" pink. I like the shade because for a little girl it has just enough of the rose tinge to make them truly pink, while still fitting in the classic ballet style/colors. The tights are a thicker weave than your ordinary tights (e.g. Target, etc.) which makes them more comfortable and less likely to run, especially during ballet classes. I also think that thigh tighter weave/stronger material helps them to wash up well. My daughter can come home with dirt all over her tights from sitting on the floor, walking barefoot, etc., and these wash up looking as good as new without even having to add any stain remover. (Of course, I'm talking dirt from sitting on dirty gym floors, not playing in the mud). I highly recommend these for the little ballerina, and would say they'd even make a good everyday outfit for dresses that complement the light pink color as well. These fit well but because they can stretch, also leave a good bit of room to grow. I purchased a size small last year for a very small 2 year old (wearing sized 18 month) and they were big, but not hanging off of her (the cling was tight enough she didn't have saggy legs, the waist just pulled really high). Now, at 3 years (wearing size 3T) they still fit her well, with the ability to pull them up and down fairly easily without needing to fish for every last little centimeter of space as with other tights that are reaching their limit of size. ... show more

These were available to buy at a dance studio for around $20.. found these for $5.25. You’d be crazy to pass on these. Obviously a well known dance brand and a great price. I went with the S/M for my 7 year old but wish I had got the M but they did the job still. They stretched enough after one wear. The waist was a tad tight but as said before, it got the job done. Absolutely perfect condition. No runs or tears, all seams intact. They didn’t show through. We’re not doing dance after this year but if we were, best believe I would order these every time.     • Pretty good tights though bright in color

I bought two sets of these tights (small and medium) for my two daughters. The quality is very good - nice thick material that should hold up to two energetic young girls activities. The color is a bright salmon pink. I purchased these specific tights because someone who purchased Capezio girls' ballet shoes indicated that the color was complimentary with the shoes (which I also purchased). I think that the color is a bit too bright and a bit too salmon for the shoes and the pink Bloch leotard that we already have for my little one (and for my taste) but it is within the realm of acceptable, and I kept them. Honestly, the color is probably only an issue for my Type A personality. The girls were perfectly happy with them. My youngest daughter (who can wear a 4T or a 4/5 depending on the brand) fit in the small perfectly. My older daughter (who wears a 6x or 7) can wear the medium. They are a little long for her currently, but not so big that they need to go back. ... show more

    • Some of the best tights on the market!

I was a dancer for 20 years and used Capezio Stretch & Hold tights, so when my daughter just recently began dancing at 2 years old, I immediately went to Capezio. They are holding up well, which I was not really surprised, because I have always been incredibly impressed with their sturdiness. They are softer than I remember, so I am not sure if they make them a little softer for the little ones or if they have just made them softer in gerneral, but it has not decreased their quality at all. They fit well for being size 2-4, and my daughter only being 2 and wearing a 2T. I of course expected them to be a little long, but they really do fit great other than that, which is fine because she can grow into them. I have always loved these tights and my opinion has still not changed years and years later. I am really glad they make them in the T(toddler) size! I cannot imagine just the regular microfiber tights that you can buy anywhere lasting one dance class without a snag at the rate the little ones move around! Very pleased with my purchase and will be purchasing more for recital! ... show more

    • Best ballet tights for a child

Last year, I purchased these tights for my daughter's ballet class simply because I looked for toddler's ballet tights on Amazon, found these, and bought them. They lasted her the whole ballet season without holes or tears right up until recital time when the stitching at one of her toes came loose and created a small hole. Summer came and I forgot that she would need new tights in the fall. So this year when she needed new tights for ballet, I was in a hurry and purchased them at a local department store. Wrong move. They didn't even make it to the first class. While we were putting them on they got a snag which then created a large hole and by the time we arrived at her first dance class, I had to turn her tights around because she had a gaping hole in the front. So after that class I went in search of the great brand of tights she wore last year. I thought they were another brand (Moret), so I purchased those, had her wear them and again they only made it through one dance class. By the end of the class they were riddled with runs and snags and just looked terrible. So I did something I should have done before which would not have only saved me time but money as well, I looked at her tights from last year to find the brand (Capezio) and then went into my Amazon account to find the exact same kind I ordered last year...and I ordered them, in the next size up. She has been using them for a couple of months now and they are just like I remembered. No runs or snags, the material is perfect for a child - it isn't shiny and is actually thicker in weight which I think is what helps it last so long and not get holes in it. They have been washed numerous times, not even on the delicate cycle, and they have come out of the washing machine and dryer looking great (I would be careful to make sure that there is nothing with Velcro on it in same load). And it is the perfect color of pink. So do yourself a favor and purchase these tights over other brands.
