I try to buy 80% wooden toys for my kids for personal parenting reasons. I love the classic aesthetic of these. We received these on a monday and after VERY light play (4 year old and 1 year old) the paint has chipped a bit. We have about 7 different ones of the candylab cars and they are GREAT but the wheels, while they stay attached, they do occasionally crack and break off a bit. So, that's the reason for my one star deduction. I will continue to buy these for my kids and they're gorgeous and fun for play time. I just wish they were more of an heirloom toy, I've had to buy the blue racer like 3 times already and we only discovered these a year ago.

Very cute! Gave it an average rating because they’re not durable. Already damaged upon arrival, and the paint finish on it seems a tad rushed. “matchbox” was crushed as well. I’ll be keeping them but for a collectors like toy, it’s a little pricey. I understand it’s a small maker and I would like to support them. I plan on buying the ice cream one when it’s available.

Is this the worst toy I've ever gotten my son? Yes, I think it might be. Within a week of purchase, the paint had started chipping. Then a chunk of wood just about a headlight fell off. Then the ice cream cone on the top came off. The coup de grace was the top and bottom halves separating completely. The thing is literally lying in battered pieces on the kitchen table on its one-week anniversary of purchase. Candylab's series of food trucks is cute and stylish, but if you can't play with a toy, what is its point?
