I am loving this candle warmer. It has a timer with 3 different settings which is perfect because I would definitely forget to shut it off. It melts the wax quickly so I can get scent right away. The adjustability of the height makes it versatile to use with any of my calendars. No assembly was required which made it even better. The lamp also looks great too. I have three of these in my house and they are the best I use them every day. I love how it looks and what it brings to the room. I do not like to burn candles in the house because they pollute the indoor air. This is perfect because it does not change the quality of my air. I definitely recommend candle warmers to people who love candles, but do not want their indoor air quality compromised. Most candles fit perfectly and will last a couple weeks like I said I use them every day so after a while, the fragrance is gone from the candle. ... show more

Shelby, don't candles warm themselves?

I love this candle warmer. Yes I do have others by a different brand, but I like this one just as much. First of all, did you know that if you light a candle there is FIRE. Actual fire happening, on your desk. And if you're like me, you just kind of want to light your lesson plan on fire most days anyway. So this cuts down on that temptation, heavily. Also with actual fire, the fire marshall comes in and gets really angry that you have fire near kids who might catch themseleves on fire, as well as the whole building. The light this emits is a nice warm glow which won't drive you crazy like the florescent lighting above. Most of all this little dude works. Just get you a nicely fragranced candle. You can even adjust it for those Yankee Candle big boys no issue. The timer is perfect because the LAST thing you need is to remember to turn it off when you race out of your classroom to catch the evening bus to your second job. Be aware that if you have to replace the bulb...don't get an LED bulb because those don't get hot. ... show more

A little rough, but it works

My only real complaint is the wiggly height adjustment. The lampshade is very pretty, but it's heavy and it adds to the roughness of the height adjustment. It has both height and dimmer adjustment so I may just use the dimmer only unless absolutely necessary. Other than that, it works much better to use a warmer lamp than to light a candle. I get much more scent out of the candle, especially the lighter scents, woodsy scents. I wasn't able to get my favorite Christmas candle this year and the one I could get is much lower in balsam scent. Burning the candle hardly gets any scent out of it and I was ready to try returning it. But the candle warmer fixed that, it's a better way. The instructions are a bit rough too. First the arrows go the wrong way for putting in the light bulb. If you look inside the lamp, you can see there's a wider and narrower side in the slot where you fit the bulb in. And the instructions have the arrows going the wrong way. It's clockwise. Second they don't say how high to have the lamp from the candle. I guess it's partly due to how high the level of the candle wax is. But there's also the rim of the candle jar. If you have the lamp shade lower than the rim, you'll be bumping the shade into the jar all the time. And the goose neck part may get hot and you may be tempted to touch it and burn yourself. So don't lower it too much. Just use the dimmer and have some patience. In a half an hour you should start smelling the candle. In an hour, you should see a small puddle of wax, in two hours, possibly a half inch of wax could be melted. Another odd thing is that the instructions say the max expected heating time is 4 hours. But the timer function has an 8 hour timer. Kinda strange. So I guess just use the middle timer function as the max. It gets a lot of scent out so I don't think you'll need more than that. So while it has some rough spots, it also has a lot of features and functions, and comes with a replacement bulb. I'm happy with it overall. ... show more

Absolutely love this candle warmer!

It melts my candles all the way through on high after about 8 hours, but I typically keep it on medium for just a few hours, which melts the top inch perfectly. I feel safe leaving it on at home without worrying about fire hazards, and it’s adjustable for different candle heights—such a great feature! The amber glass lampshade is a beautiful touch, too. The only minor issue was that one of the heat lamp bulbs didn’t work when it arrived, but it came with a spare, so no problem at all! ... show more
