This book is part of the Terkel's Teams Series. All of the team members were part of the military, had unique talents and had been using those talents as a team on missions. The government had decided Terkel's (Terk) Team was not bedded any more so the memberships on were going their own way after their last mission. The whole team and administration (admin) staff were attacked with the intentions to kill them. The results were the teammates and a few of the admin staff survived. However, most of the teammates were in comas and rest of the. admin staff were killed. Calcium was one of those in a coma. He woke up when he realize his wife was calling him and she and his son needed him. Nobody knew Calcium was married, but Terk knew, of course. He had the same problem as his other teammates when awakened. Calcum's talent is not full strength, plus the added problem of his wife and son arrival and their refusal to leave town. It helps to have read the prior books in the series, but you would understand enough of what's happening between Calcium and his wife, son, and Terk's Team and his teammates that you would enjoy the book. As you read through the book you will experience action, adventure, friendship, anxiousness, romance, trust, expectancy, action, happiness emotions, and oh, I can't forget the emotion love between a father and a son. It's an enjoyable book to read! I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys military romance and romance suspense books. This special team is barely getting by after being psychically attacked leaving most members hurting and mentally injured. Calum, as well as the entire team, survived with the help and mental push from Terk, otherwise, he’s not sure if he would have made it on his own. Cal has kept his family safe by his own decision to leave them. They have been separated for years while Cal worked beside Terk and the team in a very dangerous job, ridding the world of the monsters that prey on innocent people. His family has very little contact with him, never knowing where he is or what he’s doing until they do. His family isn’t as safe from the predators as he thought all these years. They are kidnapped and held, being used to lure Cal in to take him out of the equation. In a fortunate turn of events, Cal’s wife and son were found close by and rescued. Now they have the opportunity to reconnect and re-evaluate their relationship. Their vulnerability and safety are now Cal’s priority. The small team of viable survivors work diligently to keep one step ahead of whoever is out to eliminate their team while tracking down any clues they can uncover and any suspects they can capture. This story is full of twists and turns, action and suspense. The danger is a constant worry that just simple errands and tasks need to be thought out and planned diligently. Murder is commonplace and the monsters are numerous. Exciting and fast-paced - a great read! ... show more

Action packed, exciting and suspenseful. For Calum this is personal, his family were targeted after years of him staying away to keep them safe. As more twists and turns develope and more clues are unravelled this is a nail-biting story. The team tries hard to stay on top of things as well as keep everyone safe, still the bad guys don't let up and bodies pile up. Sometimes though I wonder? There are times when one or more team members are vulnerable and could be taken out, so why weren't they? It's a conundrum... Still I'm happy that so far they are standing strong and building family as well as re-connecting as they come out of the comas and join the others. I love the mystique of the psycic elements in this series, the telepathy and different threads of abilities of different men and the strange new abilities of the women as well. So interesting and stretches my mind and imagination to the what's ifs. Plus little Calum, I think maybe there may be more coming from him as the series progresses. Loved it. ... show more

We get a little more pieces of the puzzle when Terk's team of psychic warriors were attacked remotely and put into comas.. Maybe it was an inside job? Callum told nobody on the team about his wife and son, yet they were kidnapped. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming into the story mid way through. These have to be read in order. They're ok. They finally take over the whole building and actually get an industrial kitchen. More intense grocery shopping. ... show more

Calum is the the forth member of Terk's team to awaken from a coma and find a loved one in trouble. For Calm it was to find his wife and child kidnapped by a former friend turned enemy. In this forth book it is found that the significant others of Merkel's team members may be able to enhance the men special skills. The team members skills may also be changing as they recover from the after effects of the physical and psychic attack that put them in the coma to start with. ... show more

I highly recommend this book and this series to date. Calum and Mariana, plus an adorable little boy give you hope that love can get stronger even at a distance. Dale Mayer pulls me in at the start and I don’t want to stop until the end, then leaves you wanting the next book. Try Dale Mayers you won’t regret the decision 😁 ... show more
