I would recommend this costume to every child wishing to be an owl! My daughter absolutely loved it and wanted to wear it every chance she got until she grew out of it. The costume is two pieces. The cap and body. There is room for a jacket underneath, if needed. There are snaps in the legs so the entire costume does not need to come off for a bathroom break. The back has velcro buttons, it doesn't run all the way up. There are slits at the end of the wings for the wearer's hands to go through. The costume has held up through multiple machine washes, but has never been put through the dryer. The only issue was the feet were too small for my daughter's average sized feet, with or without shoes. I ended up cutting slits in the feet so they would fit over her shoes while running around Trick or Treating. The feet rotated around a little, but no problem. ... show more

I chose this costume for my little one as it has been cold lately and wanted her to be warm trick or treating. I was extremely pleased with it. It is soft inside so it does not agitate her skin and is very warm! I like that the feet are not just covers for shoes. It is more like a footed pajama which also kept her warm. This costume is adorable and my daughter was comfortable in it. She is 23lbs and 32 inches tall and the 18-24 months fit her perfectly. It is light but still kept her warm. My only complaints: I wish the velcro in the back were snaps because the outfit is fuzzy, the fuzzy stuck to the velcro and made the velcro less adhesive. Second, it has feet in it, my daughter can walk and this made that a little tricky. We weren't able to put shoes on her because it has feet and the bottoms are a little padded and shoes wouldn't fit inside the costume. If you walked a lot in this, you could damage the feet. Since it's one piece there isn't any way around it. We got a lot of compliments on the costume. She looked adorable and I'm happy overall with the purchase. ... show more

LOVE THIS COSTUME. My little one received so many compliments on her owlette costume. It was such a hit! And it is perfect for cold weather. The 18 month size fit my 12 month old perfectly, with enough room to bundle her up underneath the costume so she doesn't get cold. I am so glad I decided to purchase this, I will have no problem reselling it next year. The costume holds up great after a wash also! The inly con I have is the beak isn't shaped exactly like in the picture. It's more of a ball instead of a beak, but still no one had any problem figuring out my daughter was an owl.
