I started off with the rental boots at oaks park for my first time but then changed to these and was able to learn how to skate well on my second time going to a rink! I ordered a size 7. My foot measurements are 9.5 inches in length and 3.75 inches in width when measured barefoot. The skates are the perfect length but unfortunately, they are made for medium to narrow feet because my feet were getting crushed on the sides even with thin socks. I don't think going up a size would help much because they were VERY constricted on the sides. I would probably have to go up 2 sizes which would create another problem because then the skates would be ok in width but way too big in length. Oh, well :-( very sad. Otherwise, the skates are very cute, they seem sturdy, and the wheels are the kind that can be used indoors or outdoors because they are somewhat soft but not too soft. I think the softest are the best for beginners who will skate outdoors, so you can always switch out the wheels if you want to get the gummy-type wheels. But these are a good hybrid if you are comfortable in them. Sadly, I will have to return these. I really wish they had an option for wide feet. It's difficult being a wide foot girl living in a narrow foot world! ... show more

These skates were my daughters first pair this is what she said about them, “It was really easy to learn on them, it had so much support and the wheels are super smooth!” She has been practicing and even learned tricks these wheels are both good for inside and outside from what she coiuld tell.

These are excellent quality skates. I bought them for my granddaughter for Christmas, and she loved them. She put them on and skated around her nieghborhood. They held up excellently, even when it started to drizzle!
