I had finished a flannel rag quilt for a baby shower tomorrow and needed to defuzz it after multiple wash/dry cycles. This defuzzer, even paying shipping to have it first thing this morning, was still less than a defuzzer would have been at Joann Fabrics to pick up. Arrived without a problem, I've now spent half the day defuzzing the quilt and it worked absolutely wonderfully. I heartily recommend it. PROS: works great, easy to clean CONS: make sure you've got extra batteries for quilts. I tried using the recharging cord as a direct power source and after a while the cord started wobbling and didn't work well. To finish the quilt off, I ended up using two sets of AA batteries. That one thing about the battery usage is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. It would be nice if the cord stayed more secure so that you can use it with the cord and not run through batteries. I am very glad I got this item and I will definitely keep using it in the future every time I make a rag quilt. ... show more

We all know about fabric shavers for our sweaters, but I ordered this one for something different -- to mitigate the damage our cats did to the fabric sofa. While the results are not perfection (perfection would have been before they decided the sofa made a good scratching post only ) it was great for snipping off the hundreds of threads that had been pulled out. It was easy to use and even had a receptacle to hold trimmings. The verdict is out on how long it will last, but so far it's doing a great job. ... show more

I can't say enough about how good this is. Seriously if you are thinking about getting this, do it! It's worth the $11 I paid for it for sure!!! I had a sweater Jacket that I loved but it was starting to look really old and just not as cute as it used to be. I was thinking about trashing it then I thought about getting this. Wasn't sure at first if it would work and I didn't think I needed to pay $20 or more for something like this. So at 11 dollars, this was worth my investigating. Ok, I am just going to say it... Very happy with the results I have gotten from using this thing. Just look at the before and after photos of my Jacket. In one photo I started to use it but only on one side to do a comparison of the before and after and in the other photo I did the entire jacket and as you can see it made my Jacket look nice again. Hopefully, I get a decent amount of use out of it. It didn't come with batteries so I plugged it in to use and it was ok. The thing to note you have to keep it plugged in if you are not going to put in batteries. It will not work if it gets unplugged. ... show more

This little guy definitely gets the job done, you just have to be patient! I did have to take it apart and empty the fluff every 2min or so (not exaggerating) which was a pain, but can’t really complain considering it had some serious work to do. I did have to go over it very slowly multiple times and will probably go over it one more time to perfect it.. for reference it’s a full length sweater and hits my calves and start to finish was about 2 hours.. I know your thinking that’s insane, but the entire sweater was pilled BAD! However, I broke it up into a few days and just took my time with it. It’s cheap and got the job done ... show more
