I am writing this review a few months after using the product. I tried two types of screen repair kit. This one, and an a heat-based patch (hair dryer needed to fuse to existing screen). This one is easy to install, simply cut to size and stick on the area to be covered. It works like a charm and looks as good as could be expected. A few month later, the screen patch is still in place. The other screen patch I tried, the one that had to be fused with a hair dryer, only lasted a few weeks before peeling off. I recommend this one.

The color of this is a darker color for some of the newer screen material that is more like a dark gray/black color. If you have a standard light gray color screen it will look strange with these stuck on the screen. But it does work.. One side has a sticky side which is covered by the a clear cover that you peal off. Just cut to the size you need. I had a hole made by my dog in the backdoor screen door. So mosquitos and flies will make their way from a 1x1 foot hole, which is interesting that they can find it, but they do. So i bought some screen material. I then use this tape and just taped it right on the existing screen. If you screen is dusty, recommend washing your screen or at least wiping it down before putting this on. Although this is pretty sticky, not sure how long it will last but it's sticking pretty well for now. I have a few more holes in some screens around the house so will be using this to patch them as well. So overall it works, it's not the biggest roll, i think the roll was about 1/4 " of screen tape on the roll, so not a whole lot.

Had a screen with 7 or 8 holes ranging from a thin slit to something you could easily put a golf ball through. Years ago, I'd used patches you had to sort of clip on by bending the mesh prongs so they intertwined with the intact screen around the hole. They were effective at blocking holes but were super tedious to put up. I hoped that in the ensuing decade or so, something better had come along. And sure enough, this is significantly better. Cheap, easy to cut, easy to remove the backing, easy to install, and it works. I patched all of the holes in about 15 minutes (note: if the screen isn't taut, you'd do well to have somebody on the other side hold a sturdy object up to the hole to give you something to press against...we used a foam yoga block). These aren't invisible by any means. They're at least as noticeable as the holes themselves...maybe more. If you're in the market for a seamless, invisible fix, you're going to need to rescreen the whole thing. But if you want cheap, easy, and effective, this is your product. I'll update if they seem to fall off sooner than I hope, but it's been a few weeks and some heavy rains and so far, so good.

Great for small patches and holes Doesn't really solve the ripped screen issue that comes along with kids and dogs body slamming the door multiple times a day. I know, I need to move the glass to the bottom and buy more windex... but I'm not in mood yet for a new struggle. Anyways.... Double adhesion on BOTH sides of the screen seems to be the best method. The tape works great. Buy it :)

I have some old screens with holes and tears in them that I intend to replace (some day). Meanwhile, I like to open my windows to get fresh air any chance I get, so I used this tape to cover the damaged areas on the screens. It works, but don't expect it to blend in to your existing screen or let air pass through it. It is tape, after all, and the adhesive that makes it stick to my ratty screens also blocks air flow. Luckily the holes and tears in my screens are not large. So: it ain't pretty but it is a good, temporary, fix.
