The blocks are explained in more detail on the box. Great game! Was a hit at the get together. Had many laughs. The blank pieces are for you to make your own rules. If you're extremely indecisive, like me, yiu can google "buzzed blocks suggested phrases" to help you out. 10/10 recommend
