In this review, I will be testing out the âButterfly Craze Kids Floor Pillow Fold Out Loungerâ as a camping mattress/pad for my SUV camping setup. My boys and I like to camp, but my body doesnât like the cold, hard ground or the firmness of the bare cargo area of my SUV. Most camping pads in my price range are not comfortable enough, and I definitely donât want to deal with a full size mattress in the back of my SUV. As I test and review the âButterfly Craze Kids Floor Pillow Fold Out Lounger,â I will be looking specifically at the following: Cost- It needed to be reasonably priced (under $30). Cleanliness: Every part of the mattress/pad needed to be machine washable. Storage: I had to be able to store it in my SUV on a permanent basis when not camping, and when transporting it to the campsite, the mattress/pad needed to fold up so that I could store things around it. Winter and Summer Use: I plan on camping in all seasons so the pad has to keep me warm as well as cool. Frugal and Simple: I want to use things that I already own instead of buying more new things that I have to find a place to store. Comfort: I want a good nightâs sleep even when camping. I received the Pillow Fold Out Lounger today, and out of the box, I can post some of my initial reactions to it. Of course, I will update my review later after a camping trip. Cost: The price is definitely right on the money. Including taxes, my cost for the product was $28.07. Cleanliness: Out of the box, I took 5 King sized pillows and placed them in the five king sized pillow cases that have been sewn together. This is a simple but effective design. The tag says that the Pillow Floor Lounger can be washed and dried according to the included directions. Of course, the pillows I use in it can be cleaned at home as well. Storage: When not in use, the Pillow Floor Lounger can be folded up and stored neatly in my SUV. While testing it out at home with goose down pillows, I discovered that I could probably fold and compress it to a smaller size. Bungee cords would probably hold it flat and tight during transportation. Winter and Summer Use: THIS WILL BE REVIEWED AFTER CAMPING TRIP. Frugal and Simple: I already own enough king sized pillows to fill all five pillow cases in the Pillow Floor Lounger, so beyond buying the Pillow Floor Lounger, I already own and use daily everything that it requires to use as a mattress/pad. When I get ready to go camping, all I will need to do is grab the pillows off my bed, stuff them in the Pillow Floor, and then take it to the SUV. Simple and it uses things I already have. (no new stuff to buy). In addition as my pillows wear out, I can easily replace individual pillows as needed. Sounds frugal enough. Comfort: I placed it at home on a concrete floor using goose down pillows and tried it out. My initial reaction: Itâs pretty comfortable! Of course, I will update this review when I get it out on a camping trip and Iâve spent a Southern summer night on it. I will include some pictures of my setup as well during the camping trip. This would not work for most camping situations where there is a chance of it getting wet (tent camping on ground for instance). It definitely would not work for backpack camping since five pillow is a lot of weight. I have high expectations that this will work for those sleeping inside of cars or SUVs though. I will update soon, and if my night goes well, I will consider ordering another one for one of my children to try out also so I can give you their review as well. Most likely, their reduced weight will probably mean even a better nightâs sleep.

I bought this for a family member who is recovering from foot surgery to keep her foot propped up. We placed mostly flattened pillows in each of the pockets and fold up and unfold layers to get the needed height for her foot. It keeps the individual pillows from sliding out from under each other while she sleeps and shifts around. This isnât the intended purpose, but we have loved how effective itâs been.

My kids absolutely LOVE these pallets. It is super soft, and can be used in various places. It does take up a lot of space, but we store them under their beds. The fabric is durable material. The support depends on what kind of pillows you buy to go inside.

Ok so I love this idea, but I donât sew, meaning I had to pony up the dough & buy one of these caterpillow pillowcases. For clarity, this is just that. A giant pillowcase with slots for 5 of your pillows. This is NOT a ready made lounger with pillows/cushions. I bought the king size caterpillow case since my kiddo is 10 years old. I had to send one of these cases in a different pattern back, the space one, because it had conflicting info. It turned out to be a standard size even though it offered me the other size options when I ordered. Iâm unclear if it was the same seller as this case, or not. I guess I shouldâve trusted the description because it said âtoddler pillowâ so pay attention and be aware of what you are ordering. Ok, my review for this product is fair (3stars) for a couple reasons. Weâve been using it for months now, & although I havenât removed the pillows at all since I first put them in, weâre starting to see seams give, PLUS wearing through of the fabric. Each slot holds one king size pillow, and it is a pretty snug fit. Iâd like a little more space across. The length seems to be fine, but I think since they have a king size option, it should be able to accommodate all the different types of king size pillows people are going to put in it. I bought Beautyrest extra firm pillows, which we LOVE a lot, because as I said, this is for a 10 year old. (Incidentally, my review for those pillows is on Walmartâs website) I knew this lounger needed to be sturdy to be supportive, and I wanted it to last so those pillows turned out to be a fantastic choice. As another reviewer commented, I had to go slow and be careful when inserting my pillows. I also had to make sure the pillow protectors I put on the pillows before inserting them was left slightly unzipped to allow air to escape when pillows compress. Again, I agree with others that this fabric on the caterpillow case is very soft, very pretty patterns & a lot of awesome choices are available, but like I already said, itâs wearing thin now. Itâs only been @ 4 months, and we are also seeing fabric stress at seams around zippers. The zippers themselves are great so far, no popping open, and the pull is easy to hold & use, but I wonder how long they will last when pillows are removed if you are frequently washing the caterpillow case. I think itâs pretty likely people will wash it more than we do if little ones are eating/drinking on or around them, being used by multiple kids, if you have pets or donât get much time to vacuum. Bottom line, itâs not horrible, but for the price it needs to be better. I think if I can find somebody to shore up the seams weâll be able to extend the life of this caterpillow case, but I shouldnât have to. One more thought! Anybody who wants to store their caterpillow should look into rolling it up and putting it into an extra large laundry bag. I bought, am using, and I reviewed one of those from Walmart too.
