I've been using this desk for about a month and it is already completely scratched up. It has numerous water marks on it (you can't leave anything with any kind of moisture on it for even 20 seconds). It's not the nice quality it looks in the picture. Spend a little more money and get better quality desk unless it's just going to sit in a room and never be used. **UPDATE** I've now been using it for about 4 months and the laminate is starting to peel off ... show more

The table is solid, color came as described, pretty easy to assemble, my husband did it within an hour with my daughter's "help" lol... All the pieces and nails were labeled, came with the little cream colored caps to cover the screws. All the measurements are spot on, I need to fit a file cabinet underneath and it fits perfectly. One of the pieces came cracked and we contacted the seller and they sent us a replacement within a few days. After my husband put the table together and as I was wiping it, I saw there are two spots that are stained.... T_T I don't want to wait any longer and no way my husband is going to take it apart.... Other than the stains, everything is good :) Maybe they can have the slow-closing drawer and door ledge for future model and that would have been perfect! ... show more

Was looking for an L shaped desk for office/study. Found this one at a great price and then saw matching pieces so I got them and they look great. The instruction manual has full page pictures and screws were divided by steps all very well set up! Someone really took time to make it an easy setup. My only concern is the wasted corner under desk, there is no support for weight, and seems to move a bit not much but still a design flaw. Even so great desk for price. I special ordered glass from a local shop to put on top and it's a well worth investment, protects top. ... show more

So far so good. The desk was pretty easy to put together but did take some time. The desk did require 2 people at some steps. I think it took us about 2 hours to put the desk together. I left the having off of the drawer and cabinet to allow for wires. Also didn't install the shelf so there would be room for my computer tower and battery backup. My husband put the filing cabinet together by himself. It took a couple of hours and he said it was kind of a pain in the butt due to small screws and many parts. When putting everything together I did not notice that the surface scratches easy, which was a complaint I saw in the reviews before I bought it. Also, both pieces are antique white, not gray. This was another complaint I saw in the reviews. I do plan to always use a coaster though to avoid rings and warping. The desk and filling cabinet are sturdy and all drawers open and close nicely without any banging. I only installed hanging files in the upper drawer of the filing cabinet. I plan to use the bottom drawer for storage. I hope this review helps. I read them all before purchasing. ... show more

I’m writing this review only because I feel the need to respond to the many reviews that said this desk was difficult to assemble. If you are someone who is not used to assembling flat pack (ikea type furniture) I can see how this would be difficult. Additionally there are a few steps that due to the size of the desk require a second person. That said I had almost no problems putting this desk together. I’m 5’2” and pretty small and I did 90% by myself (just needed hubby to help with the bigger pieces). The parts were all labeled very clearly and the directions were very clear, especially for this type of assembly. The instructions even have QR codes linking got videos of you need help (which I did not). Start to finish assembly took less than 3 hours. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because one of the top pieces arrived with a huge scratch on top. I did contact the manufacturer and they are sending me a new part but it was annoying that it delayed my assembly. For anyone wanting to try this desk, so let the assembly scare you. These Bush furniture pieces are so easy to assemble. I don't consider myself handy by any means and I assembled the L-shaped desk, lateral file, and book case entirely myself with a light hammer, phillips screwdriver and a pair of scissors. The book case came missing the plastic covers to conceal the cams and I just got off the phone with their customer service and it is EXCELLENT! These pieces are beautiful, well made (although very heavy) and gave my home office a professional look. Word of warning: You will need help getting the boxes into your house and opening them. (I think they use marine glue on them or something!) Also, they do scratch quite easily, so use care when assembling. I put a few scratches on mine by not realizing this in the beginning. ... show more

I love this desk. I had an old 90’s style cherry wood desk that was full of scratches and draws not working. I purchased a “warehouse” deal desk so I expected imperfections. It’s a cheap desk and you get what you pay for. I filled in the scratches with a black sharpie. Some of the top corners were damaged but still not terrible. Likely from shipping. One of the back pieces on the short L side had a crack all the way down. I would purchase again. It serves its purpose and it looks great. I love the vintage black finish. I would describe it as painting 1 coat of paint. You can still slightly see the “wood” under it. I had 1 person help me put it together and took about 2-3 hours. There are 2 boards that have holes all the way through so it’s easy to flip them. Make sure you follow the directions as pictured. ... show more

I really love this desk. I was looking for something for my office that would be large enough to accommodate all my computer equipment as well as not break the bank. This fit perfectly. It's also large without feeling clunky. I will say if you're putting it together alone give yourself plenty of time. The instructions are easy to follow but due to the number and size of pieces it's gonna take you a bit to finish it. I think it took me about 3-4 hours to do. Also if you're looking for solid wood this is not the desk for you. It is made of particle board but in my opinion it does not detract at all from the look of the desk.
