Description

The matte-black 2-7x32 Handgun Scope from Burris Optical is specifically designed for precision shooting at distance in the field or at the range. Its optical system uses index-matched Hi-Lume multi-coated optics to produce views that are bright and clear with high contrast and true color representation. Burris engineered it with a long eye relief that is essential for high-power handgun hunting. The low minimum power gives users a slight magnification boost while providing a distinct aiming point with the reticle. Dialing the zoom up to 7x brings targets closer without excessively narrowing the field of view. Covered turrets keep rain, mud, and dirt off while eliminating the possibility of accidental adjustments while moving through heavy brush. The turrets are also finger-adjustable to quickly compensate for changing conditions in the field. Built for a long life in the field, the one-piece main-tube is made of lightweight and durable aluminum with a scratch and corrosion-resistant matte-black finish. The optical tube is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for water and fogproof performance in all weather and conditions, and its 1" main-tube keeps the weight down while also being easier to mount on handguns than large diameter tubes.

  • A little disappointed in the eye relief
Bought this for my S&W PC 10.5" 460xvr, and I was hoping to get a little more eye relief than it provides at mid/high magnification. I have short arms for a guy - I would have been rubbish as a boxer, but even I can't use this on anything over 3x. Anything over that power it basically closes right up on you. At 7x I'd have to be so close that the pistol would merge the scope with my skull after the shot. I guess I'm keeping it though, because there's no fixed power offering in the ballistic plex, which is something I wanted. I basically had to pay $120 extra for the reticle and im limited to a realistic 2.5x though... which really sucks. I just hope it holds up, since there's another review saying the 460 recoil broke the internals on his. Either way, I didn't want to spend the extra $250 for the Leupold variant when they both are similarly clear, and offer the same warranty. I'll just cross my fingers. I can't fault it on stars though, because when I read the specs it does specify the same'ish eye relief range I'm seeing in person. It just feels like it falls off faster after 3x than I hoped as it's getting to the ridiculously short eye relief at max power. ... show more

  • Burris toughness
I put this on my 41 , like a rock

  • Excellent!
I bought this to put on a Ruger Mark III target pistol. I used Warne low mount rings. The scope was easy to mount and to sight in. It holds zero perfectly. The pistol has a 2.5# Volquartsen trigger on it. I am touching holes on a 10 round mag at 25 yards. This long eye relief scope costs more than many you can find, but when it comes to firearms optics, you definitely pay for what you get. Plus, these are US made and have an awesome warranty. If you want to hit what you are aiming at every time, mount this on your pistol. ... show more

  • Bent turret cap loose in box????
Like the scope alot. Mounted on my FA .454. Very disapointed when opening the box, found one of the turret caps loose in the box and bent unuseable. Never found that problem before. Scope was not in plastic sleeve either. Think it had been opened before. Maybe a returned item although said it was new. ... show more

  • Garbage.
4....thats how many shots it lasted before the gears slipped. 6....thats how many shots it lasted before the internals scattered, magnification settings became obsolete and any/all adjustments stopped working. Brand new...lasted 10 minutes. Im shooting a T/C 460 S&W no brake and just switched to a Burris 2-7 after years of running a Leupold fixed 4x and then a Vortex Venom red dot...both with over 300 rounds fired and not one issue. Getting a refund to buy a better Leupold with now it looks like. Save your money if youre relying on this scope for a hunt or ethical kill, you cant trust the craftsmanship of this brand. 3rd Burris now to fail on me. One took 4 shots from a 460. One took a box of 375 Ruger and the other one failed on a 22-250 so its safe to say i wont trust a Burris at all anymore. ... show more

  • Good scope
Good scope. I am using it on a rifle as a scout scope. I would have preferred FFP and mil dot, but needed the eye relief and Burris quality.

  • Very Nice Scope with good eye relief
I have used this scope on many different firearms. My CVA Scout in 6.5 Creed, My 460 XVR 7 1/2" bbl, My SBH in 357 and 44 mag, my Marlin 44 mag. I also have the 2.75 fixed Burris that I have used on all of them as well. I rarely go above 3-4x power on any of them. I don't have that steady of a hold on my Scout and handguns. But they stay where I set them and hold zero very well. Forever guarantee on all Burris scopes is one of the reasons I only have 1 scope that "isn't" Burris and I own several. ... show more
