This king bunkie board is in two pieces for easier packaging and handling once opened. Each piece is quite heavy so you can tell there's some quality material in it. I have used it on a platform bed that has slats 3.5 inches apart. My new mattress is recommended to have a maximum of 3 inch separation so I opted to get a bunkie board to add support to it. It was easy to put into place and fit my platform bed perfectly.

Very sturdy & well made bunkie board. Works & fits perfectly for my platform metal bedframe. My mattress does slide just a bit on it but nothing serious. It serves the purposes that I bought it for which were support & potential damage to my mattress from an ornery kitten under the bed. It's heavy duty, well made, and not flimsy at all.

I got a Japanese futon mattress for my bed. And I took a chance to buy this to put over my twin bed slatted frame. It is solid! I’m 240lbs and I have had zero issue with this on my bed. Convenient to adjust, easy to used. Great quality. I don’t feel the segments through the futon on at all!

A beautiful bed that is customed built in NYC has 3" spaced slats - not ideal for a latex mattress, which is best on a solid foundation. For a while, I used plywood over the slats, was not finished & a source for splinters. It also warped slightly. This board fully supports the mattress, has no splinters and is still lightweight. It sits silently under the mattress & does the job.
