I love claw machine games. I would spend hundreds of dollars playing those things. When i saw this mini claw machine I knew I had to have it. Don't get me wrong but I didn't expect much from this machine compared to a full size one but the overall entertainment of this thing is pretty high. Playability is so so as the controls are super slow. Moving the claw around is like watching a snail move around its cage. At the time of my review I didn't have any candies or tiny toys I could stuff into the machine other than the little plush animals that it came with so I don't know how well the claw can pick up heavier items. From what I could observe picking up the plushies was not too bad, it had enough force to hold on to it and move around. Construction and materials is okay, it's made is entirely of plastic with the chain being metal, so can't expect much in terms of quality and longevity. Controls on this thing is not solid as the little joysticks have a lot of play and wobble around like they have loose screws. The fun aspect of this machine I would say is alright, I'd give it a rating of maybe 7 out of 10. Let's talk about the pro and cons. PROS: - is very portable and easy to carry anywhere - fun to play with - good claw power - good capacity for stuffing candies and other small objects. - controls are responsive - prize chute has sensor to stop machine automatically when it detects a prize won. CONS: - very loud annoyung circus music that can't be turned down. Wish it had ability to put a different song in it and volume control. - joystick controls are too loose and don't seem like they will hold up over time. - top door to put in stuff into the cavity is too small. Wish the entire top could be taken off to make it easier to put things inside. - plastic coins are gimmicky and potential choking hazard. I would rather be able to put real coins or make it so that you can press a button to make it start. - wish there was lights inside to highlight the prizes inside the machine. - hate that they put a protective bag on the claw making it super difficult to get out without using a tool to get it out of the inner cavity of the machines.     • Wish it came with more toys
Its fairly easy to use and set up and the settings themselves aren't hard to figure out and adjust if neccessary. Works as a gift or a fun game for parties. My only complaint is that it only comes with 3 little plushies. Considering the price I feel it should have a bit more than just 3 plushies

We actually got this to incentivize our kids Halloween candy by earning coins to get a piece of candy. Unfortunately, all the candy we tried didn't work. We may experiment further, but we just stuck with the default plushies which work perfectly. We plan on ordering a plushie refill set and using them as party favors for the guests of our daughter's 4th birthday coming up. The good: + Super fun and actually challenging + Easy to load new items. + My almost 4 year old daughter can use it. She really likes it. The bad/neutral: - The music is quite loud. The kids liked it though. - The coins get stuck in the coin slot. I used a little sandpaper to shave off some extra plastic in the slot and it worked. - All the candy we tried didn't work, but we were in a hurry so we dumped a lot of different types in. - The slot to put in new prizes is small, I couldn't get the candy out myself without using tongs or unscrewing the top. I had my daughter reach in with her hand. Conclusion: I'm knocking off a star for some quality control issues and the loud volume. I wish there was a mute option or volume control. I'm still giving it 4 stars because my kids love it. I'm not knocking off an additional star because the manual does say to experiment with different candies etc. as they may not all work. We haven't experimented further with other candies as of yet. ... show more

    • Lots of fun for the kids!
We have been playing with this machine for hours. The plushies it comes with are fairly easy to grab, even for smaller kids. We did have to experiment a bit with candy. It worked well with the miniature sized candy but struggled with anything larger. My kiddo quickly figured out that you can just put the coin half way in, and pull it out, and it will still turn on. This is actually a plus since you have to flip it over to get the coins out. Do not overfill it! The claws need a bit of space to grab the candy and toys. We will have it set up at our sons birthday party as well. It's a huge hit with all 3 of our kids, and the adults had fun with it as well. Our family highly recommends it! ... show more

    • So fun having a mini claw machine at home!
I got this as a Christmas gift for my son this Christmas, so haven't opened it but I'm excited for my kid to open come time. I think he will really love this claw machine because he has expressed an interest in claw machines this year and I thought this one would be perfect for him to enjoy at home. It only comes with 3 small stuffed farm animals so I ended up purchasing a party pack of little toys/trinkets to go with it so he won't get bored with it. I will probably end up putting candy in it as well. ... show more

I have had similar claw machine arcade games in the past. This one is no different. It's a toy. It's not a professional arcade game. But, it plays music, accepts the faux coins that come with it and has pretty much all of the excitement of the real thing. My nieces and nephew have always asked me to bring this with me to their home on Christmas Eve. Now, this year, I am giving them their own! This one comes with three small plush toys, but the dollar store is a cheap resource for more. Candy works great as well. When I was teaching, I found that my kids would work twice as hard to win a token that gave them a chance at playing this. You can't go wrong with this. ... show more
