I really like these plastic shutters. Hardware is incuded. Easy to install. Suggestion: Best to use wood molding behind plastic to support frame. Here seen side by side to protect a window getting too much sun. They are architecturally appropriate to the home.. They filter light. Not solid but add shade protection & privacy while allowing filtered light to get through. I was able to trim the bottom in minutes. Very easy to customize. Then used ultra fine sand paper to finish the new edge. So adjusting size from the bottom was easy and they still look quite nice. The neighbor liked them & thought they were real wood. These shutters would look just as nice flanking a window as traditionally pictured. Again use wood molding behind plastic to support frame. The manufactured bottom is 4 inches which I cut down to 1.5. So Normally there will be a more finished & cosmetic trim at the base but I was able customize for our needs. ... show more
