The frame of this is kinda flimsy. It will do what I need it to so it received 4 stars. Harbor freight come along is much more stout. I'm just stretching wore with this so it will do. I also have another one from harbor freight that I will use for any heavier loads.

I used the puller twice the day after I bought it, pulling a tree stump cluster and another item out of the dirt. I can't believe how solid this thing is. It's really nice to have two hooks, as well as two gears, which aid in ratcheting efforts. The two hooks are ultimately attached to the end of a single cable, but still allow for versatility in their arrangement, which suited my purposes just fine. Only gripe was that there were no directions; it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to detract the cord for pulling.

This is an inexpensive hand winch with nice features not found at this price point (i.e. 2 cable hooks and dual steel gears). The releases are typical for this quality, and require some getting comfortable with.

Ok, I managed to do my task with this puller but it is definitely a top of the line tool. It is difficult to "unwind" for use and the latching pawl for the ratchet has to be carefully and manually secured to latch the ratchet as you wind the cable in to pull. If you have occasional or one time uses, this puller may work for your task but I cannot recommend it for frequent use.

My son & I stretch a lot of wire & fencing. We like the double hook because we can hook our wire grip to the 2nd hook and it then makes a good level straight stretch .. Price is great .. We will buy again
