In fairness to this product, I used it as a case for my drum stool, which is many times heavier than a djembe. I am sure it is not rated for that weight. However, this case should be only used occasionally/lightly even for carrying a drum. The best use of this case might be for djembe storage. The zipper gauge is small and the stitching around it is weak so it failed after only a handful of uses. The material is very thin, but despite this the carrying straps held up the few times I lifted my heavy stool. ... show more

The bag broke after a week. I have a 12 inch djembe and after a week of using the bag for a pilgrimage. The bag broke. It fits but I recommend using this bag for a djembe that weighs less than a normal 12 inch
