Wow, what a lot of options for applying makeup! I've never seen such an extensive set of brushes. I didn't think I would use half of them but when I came back to the listing page they show you the purpose for each brush. I took a screenshot of the page and printed it out. It would be great if that was included with the brushes. Either way I'm glad to have that guide! These brushes seem well made. I like the stainless-steel foundation makeup shovel though I haven't quite got the hang of it yet. I love the softness of the brushes and the little triangular powder applicators. The triangular applicators work great to get powder into the corner of your eyes. I'm so happy that the brushes aren't so stiff that they move your makeup around! Some are stiffer than others because they need to be that way to perform correctly. There is one small stiff flat brush that works really well for filling in my eyebrows. This is a very nice set for beginners and experienced users. I think this would make a very nice gift. I would print out the part of the listing that shows what each brush is for and include it with the gift. I highly recommend this awesome set of makeup brushes and applicators!

I am not the guru of makeup brushes, but I always love a new set!! This set comes with a great variety of sizes and shapes - probably more than the typical make-up wearer might even use. I am in my 40s, and I do not build my makeup in layers, so many of these brushes will likely never be used. I can designate one brush per item - ex. one powder brush, one foundation brush, one contouring brush, one highlighting brush, 2-3 eyeshadow brushes, liner brush, etc. without getting the contour color on the highlight brush or the foundation on the powder brush - get what I'm saying?? 21 brushes is a good deal to me, and I would recommend this soft set to anyone looking to start with a clean set-up for not too much money!

This is a HUGE collection of brushes at a great value. The brushes are all well-made and nice to hold. The bristles are soft and don't shed. The variety of brushes is actually amazing - more than I ever knew I needed. A great value on a nice set of brushes!! These brushes are good beginner quality. They don't shed and they are sturdily made. I haven't had the occasion to try washing them yet but I suspect that they will only be able to tolerate a few thorough washings. This isn't necessarily a bad thing because I'm of the belief that anything that touches your face frequently should be washed thoroughly a few times and then thrown out. For everyday use for the average person I think that these brushes are fine. I don't claim to be a makeup professional so I don't really need professional style brushes. With care, I expect to have these brushes for a year before I find others to replace them, but that is about where I draw the line on life expectancy for makeup brushes normally. I think they're a reasonable buy and would recommend them to a friend.

This a nice set of value makeup brushes. Theyre very soft. Each was individually wrapped in cellophane and the larger ones had a plastic netting around them as well to protect the bristles. The handles seem to be of decent quality and fit nicely in the hand.

The pictures showed the bristles to be black, they were not the same when delivered. Also the brushes themselves were very coarse not as soft as I'm used to. There was also a very strong glue smell I had to leave them out in the garage for a day before the smell was more tolerable.

Great value: lots of brushes for the price. The brushes are soft and the big ones seem like they will get the job done. However, the smallest ones are not the best quality because they're less firm and precise in their shape. Most are good enough for basic work though, all except for the thin, straight one ("eye liner" per the listing photo) which I can't see working well for detail at all since it's very flimsy and the bristles kind of spread out and do their own thing. There is a quite strong chemical odor upon opening the bag of brushes. It personally doesn't bother me, but do be prepared for that. Overall, I think a decent set at a good value.
