* Overall Impression: -It's a good value for a very nice, high quality, full face and eye brush set with a beautiful varnished finish on the natural handles. The brushes are cruelty free and synthetic bristled and are very soft. * Pros-what I liked and what worked well: -Good value for the quality, style and how many brushes are in the set. -12 brushes included. -Full face and eye set. -The brushes will work well for: foundation, concealer, powder, contour or bronzer, highlighter, blush, eye-shadow, eyebrow powder or eyeliner. The brushes are well shaped and work well. The eye brushes are especially good as they are larger and fuller than some other sets that tend to be undersized and less full. -Synthetic bristles, cruelty free. The bristles are very soft and full and nicely shaped. -Nice furniture lacquered finish on the natural handles. They're not plastic or synthetic, but natural. They have a finish like fine jacquard furniture and a smooth finish and polish. -Good weight and feel in the hands. -Tapered brush ends. (They won’t stand up on their own with a tapered end.) -Heavy metal brush ferrules with a subtle logo lettering on them. -Plain brushes, no printing, logo or brush type on the brush handle. -Wash and dry well with no color running or bristle shedding. -Don't shed during use. -Come with brush guards for some (but not all) of the brushes. * Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well: -There is a moderate amount of odor on the brushes, if you're sensitive to scents, this may be an issue. It's from the furniture varnish like finish on the handles, and has a scent like furniture varnish. It's moderately strong and quite noticeable. It did get better after washing, but it is still there. -No brush holder, brush roll or brush cup. You'll need to provide your own. -They did print the brushes and uses on the outer carton, but it was hard to read. You'll want to refer to the pictures in the listing for brush types and uses, as it's not printed on the brushes themselves and no instructions are included. -No slim eyeliner brush or mascara spoolie included, you may want to add those on your own, they are not included. * Tips & Thoughts: -I'd consider adding a slim eyeliner brush and a mascara spoolie brush of your own to the kit to separate your lashes. -Be careful when washing these as the finish isn't painted but like a furniture varnish finish over natural material. Try not to get the handles overly wet during washing. -If you wash your brushes regularly, these may not hold up as well as brushes with plastic or painted handles due to the more furniture varnish finish that won't handle repeated washing as well. -If you're looking to an alternative to pricey Fuller makeup brushes, I have a Fuller set and these are better in the size, shape and fairly close in the handle varnished finish. The Fuller brushes are a bit better on the handle finish, but this set is close and the bristles in this set are better than in the Fuller brushes. Overall, this is a far superior set to the Fuller brushes.

We got this set for our 11 year old daughter who is just beginning to wear very little makeup. And she loves them. They are very soft and easy to hold and use. The brushes coming off is very minimal and it can hold a decent amount of product. I have used them to put makeup on my daughter and the smaller brushes seem to almost absorb the product so you may need to use a little extra product to get it on your face. Other than that these are perfect as a gift or for you to use.

Great set of brushes that feel like good quality! The bristles are soft and there’s been no issues with fallout so far. They blend my makeup much easier than my old set. A good variety of brushes for many different needs/products. They were packaged well and securely. The only thing that could be improved is adding a case for storage. Other than that, I’m happy with this set!

This brush set is great for those high pigmented colors. I used this on a couple pallets that have really bright colors and they picked up and put on the shadows without too much fallout. These are better than some of my more high end brushes for blending. They are also easy to hold, wash and are really soft.

These brushes are beautiful. You get every type of brush you need in order to do any makeup look. The brushes look so nice and feel sturdy. I only wish that the brushes were softer. Some of the brushes are stiff/coarse hairs.

These are really lovely, wooden handled brushes. The brush bristles are full, soft and thick and I have not noticed any shedding. This is really a nice assortment of brushes, for practically every make-up application from foundation to powder, eye shadow and eyeliner to lipstick...everything you need is in one set. I wish they had included a carry case, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

This set is so nice! I love the solid wood handles, and the big brushes are so soft. The liner brushes are firm and sharp, and there are various other sizes for everything you need. They look so nice on my counter I almost don't want to use them.

These are really nice high quality makeup brushes. They are super soft. The handles are a good long length. I did not notice any shedding while using them. They come with a soft storage bag. They would be a great gift as well. They are well made. I expect them to have longevity.
