So I have to admit that when I received these shoes I was a bit disappointed. Why? Well at first they felt rigid and uncomfortable around my ankles unless I wore a sock that covered my ankles. I wear the low cut/no show socks with these type of shoes normally. I decided to keep them as previous Bruno Mars I owned were very comfortable once worn in. Boy am I glad I kept them. The shoe is very light and comfortable. I wore it about a week before it felt comfy. Now I don't even notice they are on. Important PHOTO NOTE: Disregard the "insoles" in the pic because they are not in the shoe. I have special insoles so the ones that come with the shoes are gone. The pic shows my shoes at the point where you slide your feet in. I did not find these shoes to be particularly comfortable when I first put them on, due to the way that the top of the shoe is shaped. You basically put the shoe on like putting your foot into a sock because it is a roundish hole with that is bit stretchy and not like most shoes. However, even when new, it only takes a few minutes for the feet to get comfortable and the shoes remained comfortable all day long for me. The shoes are decent, made well enough and a solid value. My Rating System: 5-Stars - A Superior Product or Above Average & An Excellent Value - I would recommend. 4-Stars - Above Average OR Excellent Value – A great choice. 3-Stars - Average – What one might generally expect. 2-Stars - Below Average Product OR Poor Quality Control – Maybe seek an alternative. 1-Stars - Avoid if at all possible. ... show more

These shoes look great But after 2 days of wear, I have to repeat what others say on these reviews: thee shoes dig into my Achilles REALLY BAD. They're causing blisters. That area should be so much more padded.

Love the look, overall feel, and price point. As others have said, these shoes have a bad penchant for digging into one's heels. I'll probably bump my score up to 4 stars if the issue goes away after a couple of wears.

These shoes are a fraction of the costs vs other big name brands. I bought these to use at a trade show. These shoes held up being on my feet for 10 hours a day for 3 straight days.

I was not certain what a "sock type" shoe was. What that means is that there is no tongue. Instead of a tongue there is an elastic section where it would be and you have to slide them on like you would a sock. The opening is pretty small. For me, with a back problem, it was a little difficult to do that and I had to use a shoe horn to put them on. But for most it should not be a problem. The ad mentions a micro arch support and that means essentially that there is virtually none. However, the insole is removable and you can replace it with one that suits you if you feel the need to do so. They have conventional laces however the elastic "tongue" is strong enough so they could be worn without laces more like slippers. So these are very nice shoes. Air freely flows through the open mesh particularly in the toe box area. They are extremely lightweight, flexible and both the sole and the insole have enough cushion to make walking on most surfaces very comfortable. However I would not wear them for hiking on a rough trail. They are really designed for casual wear under warm or hot climate conditions. ... show more
