Good products these Bruders, they handle my son's abuse and he's a 5yr old maniac who tries to destroy everything but all his Bruder trucks are holding their own and this guy is no different. He's popped the head and arm off a few times but they pop right back in just like new. Would buy again..

My 2 1/2 year old grandchild loves this fireman and is infatuated with the removable helmet with adjustable visor. The gloves are removable also but difficult to get on or off for a child this age. My little one doesn't care this is a problem - as he wants them on all the time anyway. High quality plastic - very well made. Easy to adjust arms and legs. Update: 2 months later we have not had any problem with legs breaking as I see reported by others. My grandchild (3 years old) plays rough with this fireman - I have seen him make his fireman do the splits sideways and adjusts the legs to the sitting position to fit in behind the steering wheel of the fire truck, multiple times per day, with no problems. This toy has very tight joints and it takes a strong grip to adjust but ours is holding up really well. Perhaps we were just lucky? ... show more

    • Great design, great detail but some complications.
I really love the detail of these Bruder action figures and they seem really durable at first but there are some problems that you might not want to deal with. First of all the accessories. The Helmet and the Gloves are a bit of a pain. I have purchased two of this fireman because my 3 year old calls him Big Frank from the Big Franks Fire Truck book which I do recommend. But that's another review. http://www.amazon.com/Big-Franks-Fire-Truck-Pictureback/dp/067985438X The helmet will not stay on this little guy so the first thing I did one both of the ones I have purchased is get a little craft glue and glue it on. Works like a a charm but the helmet is always on from this point. The Gloves. Just too small of an item to be useful or playful. He's an action fireman. Either mold his hands as gloves and he's always ready for action or just don't include them because for a little kid they are useless and they don't stay on well and they get lost. The fire extinguisher. Well it's a fire extinguisher and fits well in his molded hands. Durability. Remember I said they seem durable. Really the articulating joints are very well done and nicely hidden but unfortunately they are very stiff and hard to bend into place which is a problem for a 3 or 4 year old. I have bought two of these firemen and two of the blonde worker men and all have broken legs or arms and my 3 year old is really just not rough on toys but the joints just don't hold up well enough. If you don't mind spending $13 or $15 bucks or whatever they cost every once in a while to replace them then they are great when new but even though they seem tough. You will probably end up with broken arms and legs on a regular basis. ... show more
