  • My go-to shoes
Never thought I'd give up the hunt for old-school Nike Pegasus. The name remains, but the shoe today isn't even close. So, I've struggled with various walking/jogging shoes. Brooks were recommended and my search is over! This is my 2nd pair, and as soon as I can, I'll buy two more to stash away. Great support from all angles, light weight, a comfortable heel-toe drop (ie, not totally flat, which kills my back) ample toe width, solid construction. Plenty of colors to choose. I get a half-size larger, but if I still ran all out, I'd go a whole size up. (I now vigorously walk/jog 2-4 miles/day outside on paved surfaces.) The heel sole is shaped to prevent ankle roll. The toe sole has enough flexibility, traction and forward curve for my toe-strike jog pace. I've washed the white Brooks in the machine at least six times, air dry, still going strong. The price is a thing, but to me, it's about the support, comfort, and durability. I use one pair for mostly exercise, the other for everything every day. ... show more

  • Most comfortable walking - running shoes ever
Size: 10 X-Wide Color: Blue Ribbon/Peacoat/Dianthus
I got these shoes for my daughter who teaches preschool each day she loves the look and feel of these shoes. She loves going barefoot and usually removes shoes right when she come home about 5pm she says these are so comfortable that she sometime forgets they are still on and keeps wearing them after she gets home after walking around all day her feet feel awesome. She loves the loves walking and running with her preschool class and these shoes have made this possible. These are the best tennis shoes she has ever owned— and she is 40 years old! ... show more

  • Great supportive and comfortable walking shoe
I have worn Glycerin GTS 20, 21, and 22. I noticed a major change in fit and control from 20 to 21. 21 to 22 just got more comfortable. The toe box seemed slightly larger. Arch support is great without orthotics. The cushion is more supportive yet firm. I feel like I am walking on air but my feet are cradled. My podiatrist approved 100%. I am not a runner. I am 80 and these shoes allow me to walk and stand longer. I previously wore the Ghost but this is a vastly different shoe and definitely worth the price of <120. I tried the Brooks Adrenaline and it is a good, supportive shoe, but this is a step up. Brooks shoes just keep getting better. I won't wear any other shoes. ... show more

  • Get the extra wide
Size: 8 X-Wide Color: Blue Ribbon/Peacoat/Dianthus
I currently have the Revel- size 8 wide. And they are comfortable but I wish my toes had just a touch more space. So when I was looking at these I wasn’t sure if I should stick with the wide or get extra wide. I read some reviews about these running narrow and I got the extra wide and they are perfect! Just a touch more space and not too bulky. They’re still cute + comfy. I love them. Would recommend! ... show more

  • In love, even after PTTD Surgery
I've had them for almost a year and I love these shoes! Before my PTTD surgery, I walked 20,000+ steps a day at my job. I wore Nike running shoes, causing pain and discomfort. These alleviated my foot pain before my podiatrist ruled out that I needed surgery due to tears in my tendon. After I was cleared to wear gym shoes, I went right back to these. They have been durable this entire time and I would repurchase them all over again. The only thing about them is that I wish Amazon sold the wide width version. ... show more

  • My Feet Are Now Spoiled and Can't Wear Anything Else
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: White/Limpet Shell/Amparo Blue
First pair arrived without insoles. Amazon fixed the problem immediately. This is my second pair of Brooks, purchased based on the recommendation of my podiatrist. This is the only brand he wears, so I tried the Brooks Glycerin 20 and was hooked. Initially, these (the Glycerin 22's) were not as comfortable as my older 20's model- but I was switching from the "neutral" to the GTS version, so I expected some sort of adjustment. The older model felt softer/more cushy inside. However, having worn other podiatrist-recommended brands that were so supportive it was like walking on concrete slabs, these still feel luxurious. The additional support provided by the GTS seemed very subtle- especially given that I use orthotic inserts. However, after wearing them for a couple of weeks, I noticed a significant decrease in my Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis pain - a huge win! Within a few weeks, I've gone from having to limit my time on my feet to a short walk every other day to walking a few miles at a time daily. These have become my go-to shoes any time I need to be on my feet- indoors or out. I've even started wearing them hidden beneath my summer maxi length dresses because the pain relief is such a big deal. After a month, they still look almost new. Usually by a month in, I start to notice some separation somewhere between soles and material, or else material wearing thin somewhere. These are holding up very well. If they last, I would absolutely buy again. I did size up half a size to accommodate my orthotics and socks, but I think they are true to size. ... show more

  • Best if you need structured arch support
UPDATE: I decided to wear these shoes while standing and folding laundry throughout the day. After a while, about a half hour or so, my arches were starting to hurt, mostly on my left foot. I tried yet another pair of orthotics that are basically a flat padding. Same result, though to a less degree. I think these shoes are really great for someone needing significant arch support. I guess I don't, so for my feet, the structure just isn't comfortable for long-term use. I really wanted to love these shoes, but it appears the Adrenaline line may just work better for me? Note: I also wear barefoot water shoes most of the day, so perhaps my foot is adapting to that more and less to supportive shoes? Not sure. After owning a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS shoes, my entire perspective of sneakers changed. I am getting rid of the Avia (Wally World) sneakers whose fit ranges from good to poor. After feeling my the difference in my hips and back, no more of these cheapie shoes... the extra cost is worth it. The pair I received appear to have been a return as there was no stuffing in the shoe and the laces were not tied as they usually are on brand new shoes. However, the soles were clean and they did not look used, so I kept them. Personally, when I tried them on, the arch support was way too much for me on the right shoe and did not hit my arch correctly. I almost returned these, but then remembered I have an orthotic insert I got on Amazon and swapped it out. Perfect fit!!! Saved the day and very happy with these shoes and the sale price. ... show more

  • Great shoes
Good shoes. Very supportive. Pricey, but good for preventing foot cramps when doing long walks.
