As someone with bunions, finding shoes that don’t make me regret every step has always been a challenge. These were different from the moment I put them on. Zero break-in time. It honestly felt like my feet were being gently hugged, not squeezed or irritated like with most sneakers. I wear them daily for walking and errands, and the cushioning is incredible, like walking on marshmallows but with support. My bunions don't ache at the end of the day anymore, which is something I haven’t experienced in years. The wider toe box is a blessing, and I love that the shoe feels stable but not clunky. And to top it off, I’ve actually gotten compliments on how cute they look. This is my first pair of Ghost Max 2s, but definitely not my last. If you’ve been struggling to find a shoe that works with bunions (or just want all-day comfort), give these a shot. I finally feel like I can walk pain-free again—and that’s worth everything.

I was looking for shoes to wear for a trip that we had coming up, lots of walking! I went to a local store to try these on but they did not have the color I wanted. When I put them on my feet, I was in another atmosphere! Anyway, I ordered the color I wanted from Amazon and wore them on my trip. They came very quickly! My feet were so incredibly happy the entire time! I read lots of reviews on different shoes, but these by far were the best I put on my feet! So much cushion and support. I also tend to pronate, and it did help with that. Do not walk, run to buy the shoes!

I tried on a bunch of other shoes before I put this Ghost Max 2 on my foot. They were all ranked very highly and were better than any other sneakers I've ever had, but then I put on this one and it just blew them all out of the water. This shoe was in a league of it's own. I'm on my feet a lot, and I'm still impressed on how comfortable they remain through it all. The support keeps my feet from getting fatigued. They are holding up amazingly well with what I put them through. The color is perfect. Even though I've got things on them, you can't see it. I won't ever stop raving about this shoe to everyone I know. Now, I understand all the people telling me that I have to get a pair of Brooks.

I wear a size 5 medium. These shoes are a perfect fit for me and so very comfortable. Like walking on a cushioned surface. I’ve only had them a few days, but the quality seems very good. They give me good arch support as well.

I have been a Brooks loyal customer for years, purchasing 4 or more pairs per year. I am a size 9, fairly high arch, need a generous toe box – but not wide in the heel. I consider myself a moderate level athlete. I fast walk 6-10 miles per day, and more when I am training for an event (such as the 3Day/60 mile walk). My go to for several years was the Adrenaline GTS 22. I could buy a new pair, slip my custom orthotics in, and go. No break-in period was needed. These worked great for my 3Day/60 mile walk events. Then they went to the Adrenaline GTS 23, those also fit well. Then in Oct 2024, I had to order the GTS 23 GTX. These were too narrow in the toe box. I had to return them. I’ve since tried the Revel 6 (kept for non-athletic wear); the Adrenaline GTS 24 (toe box too tight); Ghost Max 2 (felt pushed forward and were clunky); Ghost 16 (wasn’t too bad, wore it 6 mile outside and it started feeling like my toes-metatarsals were crunching); another Ghost 16 (to confirm if it was just an oddity last time – wasn’t) I decided to try a wide, and ordered the Launch 10, in 9 wide. They were too wide overall. Then tried Launch 10, in 9 regular width. The Launch 10 is the winner by far. Just ordered another pair, as there are not many options in my size left. My husband thought I was crazy with shoes coming and going. I don’t mind the price as long as the shoe fits properly and will not cause me any downtime from injuries. I now have a spreadsheet keeping track of all of this – paying particular attention to details like the vendors description (soft, protective vs responsive springy); are they supportive or neutral; and especially the midsole drop. When you find the right shoe, order back-up pair because they might not be the same in 3 months when you need to get new shoes.

Brooks is now my go-to, definitely worth the price. I’ve worn Ryka for decades and they fail me now; they don’t consider “aged” feet. I then tried Sketchers, but no.

These are the most comfortable walking/running shoes I've ever owned. Which by the way was recommended by my Podiatrist and he wasn't lying. I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis and the support on my feet from this shoe feels amazing. I love the white and coral. My new walking/running shoe of choice from now on. Definitely not disappointed!!

Billed as an improvement on the perfect 2024 Brooks Women’s Ghost Max Cushion Neutral Running & Walking Shoe that I preferred to my Hoka Bondi 8s, but the new Brooks are NOT as comfortable as either of the above. You'll notice the difference especially the longer you wear them. These feel less flexible. The size 9 length is the same, but the toe box is too narrow for footies and not as good for walking. 3 stars for quality and appearance, but I wish I had returned the 2 pair of GM2 and gone back to Hoka. Fingers crossed that Brooks will re-release the 2024 Ghost Max version.
