I love Brooks, especially the ghost. They are very pretty. I wear an 8 and 1/2 and that's what I ordered, they fit perfectly. They have a nice insole and support my arch. They have some elevation which I need for my back. They have held up well.

Brooks shoes beat all other brands for me & update!

I really like these. They fit well for my 9.5 wide foot. The arch is good. They don’t slip. The shoe laces are firm & not stretchy which means they don’t loosen—not come untied by loosen. The color is great! I got Oyster. I usually wear black. This was a huge leap to get this color. When they get dirty I just have to wipe them down. For some reason I felt like a gym teacher at the gym today. That’s dating me. lol. I had bought Armor’s & they were squishy. These aren’t squishy but you can feel comfort. They are not sloppy on my foot. All good things to say. My feet are happy. I have worn Brooks wide shoes for awhile. These are my 5th pair. I keep looking for something for less money & my husband tells me to just buy Brooks as we know they work. I will buy again! Update: I ordered another pair of these Brook’s since on sale. I am upset as they arrived worn! Dirty bottoms & not properly boxed. I returned them. They were third party but ordered thru Amazon & shipped thru Amazon. I’m sure they checked them. Digs into Ankles, otherwise perfect
Review of: Brooks Women’s Ghost 17 Neutral Running Shoe Color: Grey/Chateau Grey/Portabella Size 7.5 By measurement, I'm a size 7 regular/medium. Most of my exercise shoes are 7.5 regular, as is this one. The width is perfectly comfortable on me. Snug at first, but after 3 weeks of a lot of wear they feel incredible. Length is great, although just barely. The foot bed is soft but firm. Not squishy. I need a decent arch support and these are nice and high and sturdy. The color (see above) is gorgeous and will coordinate with anything. The heel stays put without sliding. The heel also has the new heel style that makes them easy to slide your feet into, and you don't feel it at all when you point your toe. Great cushioning in the soles. I feel stable and straight with my slight overpronation. I immediately went on vacation when these shoes arrived, so I took a chance. I walked about 10,000 steps a day for 8 days! Including rushing through airports. These shoes felt amazing the entire time. Only took a couple of days to stretch just perfectly to my feet. At first they were digging into my ankles :( It's towards the front of the inner ankle on both shoes/feet. After an hour in them I had dents in the skin. It's right at the point where the top shoe lace hole is. It's a hard piece with no cushion. The Ghost 14 was not like this. However, I took those points and bent them backwards quite aggressively several times in the first day. I also loosened the laces all the way down the shoe, then tied them just a bit looser than I normally would. I wore them around the house for an entire day like this and they felt GREAT. Then I took them on my trip and had no issues. So I was able to completely solve that issue. I've seen others complain of the same thing. I have skinny ankles, a bit bony you might say. So it's not an issue of my size. So although I do think the manufacturer should try to fix the issue, I was able to fix it myself. It's a great shoe and I highly recommend. ... show more

The ONLY sneakers for pronation!

I wear a size 11. I have horrible pronation. I have neuropathy in my feet. THESE ARE THE BEST SHOES I’VE EVER WORN! They are true to size. I can walk forever whether it’s on the treadmill or outside, and I feel secure and pain free! I bought 3 pair, and want them in every color!! They look sporty, are breathable, and don’t make my feet hot. They come in great colors, though I wish they would come out with a pastel line. Do not hesitate to buy these. ... show more

Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn

These are not used for running, but for everyday use in winter. They feel so good to walk in, are good for my arch support and achilles tendon issues. I chose the wrong color, as this light colored shoe turned as a dirty colored as if I didn't care about it. But the fit is superior, the cush factor is excellent. Brooks perfection again

I considered buying the Ghost 18, but they were more expensive. I bought these at the lower price point and they are wonderful! Lightweight, comfortable from day 1, excellent quality, always look great. I size up a half size and they are perfect for the gym. Love Brooks support and style

Love the Brooks shoe. They are very supportive, comfortable nd look great. They are a little high at the top of shoelace placket which rubs. Higher socks eliminate the issue.
