I’ve never worn a sneaker this comfortable in all of my 41 years. My feet hurt all the time, I have problems with flat feet, plantar fasciitis and what I’m guessing is some neuropathy. I’ve tried every name brand imaginable and thought I’d just have miserable feet for the rest of my life while spending way too much on poor quality shoes from (sort of rhymes with Catchers). I was looking for a new pair of sneakers for walking as I noticed my other shoes would leave my feet achy, legs sore, and in some cases some of my toes going numb. I have been walking 2.5 miles each day, and I feel like I could walk a lot father than that when wearing them. I think the soles are thick, so if you aren't used to wearing shoes like that it might take some time to adjust. But they are comfortable and offer great support. I think sizing is accurate as I am a size 10 and the 10 fit me. They are costly, but I do believe in getting what you paid for. And these are really great shoes! ... show more

I have been wearing the Ghost 16 for the last 13 months and finally needed a new pair. The Ghost 17 are so comfortable, super cushy and wonderful. I have very bad bunions in both feet and the 10 WIDE accommodates them well! My bunions did not tear all the way through the fabric after wearing the 16's for a little over a year. I honestly never heard of Brooks before, but when searching online for a new pair of sneakers, I came upon Ghost 17. I like the style and the colors and see mostly positive reviews. I ordered size 7.5 W and they arrived timely. I put them on and they fit comfortably. In my opinion, the front of the shoes seem a little longer than they need to be which makes them appear a half size larger than they actually are. Also, it would be nice if the laces were just a little longer. The arch support is comfortable, just not as cushiony as I'm used to with my Saucony sneakers. I typically walk 2-3 miles daily. They are fine for me and my feet don't hurt. I'm hoping these shoes will last at least a year. ... show more

I can never say anything bad about a Brooks tennis shoe. I have 14 pair in every color you can imagine. I’m a large woman. I weigh 257 pounds and these shoes carry me well. I don’t have back issues leg issues, knee issues, feet issues and I believe it’s because of these issues. I think they’re made for the large person. Now if you’re 350 pounds I can’t attest to the shoes quality or if it will not give you any issue. I have other flat little dress shoes, but I hardly ever wear them. I always am wearing my tennis shoe. I think they’re extremely durable. I think they’re versatile, I love the appearance and the fact that you can get them in every color imaginable. I even have hot pink. Now I’d like to have Green. I wish sometimes the colors were a little bit like the Nikes colors. But maybe someday I think the value for the money and the shoe and the quality is spot on. I have no issue with washing issues and then putting them in a Peet’s foot dryer. So I love brooks, but they discontinued the model I fell in love with so I purchased these. They are ok, the shoe around the ankle is higher so it rubs against ankle...ok, but not comfortable. I wore them so I felt returning them wasn't cool. If you are okay with higher ankle area, good shoe. I miss my old ones though. Great color! ... show more
