I can never say anything bad about a Brooks tennis shoe. I have 14 pair in every color you can imagine. I’m a large woman. I weigh 257 pounds and these shoes carry me well. I don’t have back issues leg issues, knee issues, feet issues and I believe it’s because of these issues. I think they’re made for the large person. Now if you’re 350 pounds I can’t attest to the shoes quality or if it will not give you any issue. I have other flat little dress shoes, but I hardly ever wear them. I always am wearing my tennis shoe. I think they’re extremely durable. I think they’re versatile, I love the appearance and the fact that you can get them in every color imaginable. I even have hot pink. Now I’d like to have Green. I wish sometimes the colors were a little bit like the Nikes colors. But maybe someday I think the value for the money and the shoe and the quality is spot on. I have no issue with washing issues and then putting them in a Peet’s foot dryer. I bought these for my job at an amusement park. I am on my feet for up to 14 hours a day, walking a lot but also standing in a position. In previous seasons, other shoes would have my feet aching, but these don’t! They are nice and cushy. They look good, fit my feet even as they swell a little during the day. Honestly worth the money for the comfort they have given. It’s impossible to keep white shoes pristine but they do wash easily and don’t seem to be damaged in the washer ... show more

These shoes are so comfortable! And so cute! I wear them for long days of walking at Disney, and my feet felt great the entire time. My ankles feel stable, and I don't feel like I'm bending my foot any strange way. I wear them with all my outfits, so they go with everything! These are not used for running, but for everyday use in winter. They feel so good to walk in, are good for my arch support and achilles tendon issues. I chose the wrong color, as this light colored shoe turned as a dirty colored as if I didn't care about it. But the fit is superior, the cush factor is excellent. Review of: Brooks Women’s Ghost 17 Neutral Running Shoe Color: Grey/Chateau Grey/Portabella Size 7.5 By measurement, I'm a size 7 regular/medium. Most of my exercise shoes are 7.5 regular, as is this one. The width is perfectly comfortable on me. Snug at first, but after 3 weeks of a lot of wear they feel incredible. Length is great, although just barely. The foot bed is soft but firm. Not squishy. I need a decent arch support and these are nice and high and sturdy. The color (see above) is gorgeous and will coordinate with anything. The heel stays put without sliding. The heel also has the new heel style that makes them easy to slide your feet into, and you don't feel it at all when you point your toe. Great cushioning in the soles. I feel stable and straight with my slight overpronation. I immediately went on vacation when these shoes arrived, so I took a chance. I walked about 10,000 steps a day for 8 days! Including rushing through airports. These shoes felt amazing the entire time. Only took a couple of days to stretch just perfectly to my feet. At first they were digging into my ankles :( It's towards the front of the inner ankle on both shoes/feet. After an hour in them I had dents in the skin. It's right at the point where the top shoe lace hole is. It's a hard piece with no cushion. The Ghost 14 was not like this. However, I took those points and bent them backwards quite aggressively several times in the first day. I also loosened the laces all the way down the shoe, then tied them just a bit looser than I normally would. I wore them around the house for an entire day like this and they felt GREAT. Then I took them on my trip and had no issues. So I was able to completely solve that issue. I've seen others complain of the same thing. I have skinny ankles, a bit bony you might say. So it's not an issue of my size. So although I do think the manufacturer should try to fix the issue, I was able to fix it myself. It's a great shoe and I highly recommend. ... show more

Even though my podiatrist recommended these shoes, I was hesitant to buy them. I have plantar fasciitis which brings with it significant pain. To complicate matters, I have a narrow foot, and it is almost impossible to find a tennis shoe in a narrow size that actually works. To say that I was skeptical is an understatement. I am pleased to say that I was definitely wrong. They are very comfortable, lightweight, and have good support. The color selection is a plus! If you need a narrow shoe, this is a place to go. I understand they carry other sizes, but narrows are difficult to find. I have no hesitation in recommending these shoes.
