I bought Brooks sneakers for women for my planner fasciitis heal pain. They were recommended by my foot doctor as well as a physical therapist friend of mine. I bought them at the end of January 2026 and it's now March 5th 2026 so I've been wearing them a little more than a month now. I have also been wearing compression socks since around Christmas 2025. I went to the foot doctor in December of 2025 and he performed some sort of ultrasound treatment on my heel. The pain went away by the end of the visit / treatment. Two days later the pain came back. After my visit I stopped walking on my treadmill for about a month but that did not help the pain. I continue to wear the compression socks everyday but not to bed just during the day. The pain was still there. This is day 8 now that I have no foot pain. I believe that is all due to the Brooks sneakers. They have an orthopedic insert built in the sneaker that keeps the arch lifted so it's not collapsing and causing pain. I still wear my compression socks everyday. I would recommend fascia fix compression socks. They're a little pricey and they don't come in a two pack you have to buy them separately and I believe they're about $16 a piece. Trust me though it's worth it! I only need it for my right foot but I didn't want to take any chances that the same thing would happen to my left foot. So just give the sneakers a little time to work. Don't return them after a week because you feel they're not working you have to give them some time. I am back walking on my treadmill with no foot pain. I started out walking a mile because I was scared but now I'm up to 2 miles and I'm not waking up with foot pain so I'm so happy. I was looking and needed new shoes for my feet since I work and stand on my feet all day. Because I used to work for a sporting good retailer many years ago, I knew Brooks Running Shoes were a favorite and a great shoe to walk and run in. I currently have the Ravenna and the Adrenaline GTS. But I've never had the Ghost. I was recently diagnosed with Plantar Faciitis and wanted a great shoe to support my feet all day at work. As soon as I slipped on these shoes to try them on, it was a lifesaver. Feet felt so good it was like butter. And the fit was amazing. Perfect for my small feet. My feet even feel better after I wake up. I still will be using my inserts for my foot but having a high-quality shoe that supports your feet is severely a lifesaver. ... show more

This was my shoe through nursing school and after two years of constant wear, year, and innumerable amounts of washes in the washing machine, the shoes still look BRAND NEW!! I wore these shoes to my nursing Nightingale pinning and I wore them to graduation as a joke. I swore I slept in these shoes because I had to get up so early in the morning to be at clinicals! If that does not tell you how GREAT these shoes are, I'll tell you more... The color is all white and that's perfect for nursing school. I have high arches so I need good support. The arch support is amazing. After 10 hours of clinicals and class my feet did not hurt. My brain hurt, but my feet did not! The stability is great. I never felt like I would slip in a puddle of spilled urine. They are highly wearable and stretch and flex with my feet. The toe box is wide enough and I have wide feet. I had to buy a medium width because wide was not available. I was worried that they would not fit well, but the medium width fit perfectly. I still wear my white shoes. I just took my dog for a walk in the park with them on. That was a bad idea because now they are dirty, but that's okay because I can wash and dry them for the millionth time and they will still look like new! I also bought this shoe in all black and I know this is a review for the white, but I'll just say the all black ones do not disappoint either! I highly recommend!! ... show more

I really love these sneakers! They are very comfortable, lightweight, and durable. I need extra arch support in my right foot, and there’s enough room in the shoe for that without making it feel too tight. The sneakers also have good traction on wet floors. Mine make a sound when they grip the floor, but it's not bothersome. In fact, I have two pairs of these! ... show more

    • These shoes feel like pillows around my feet!
This is my 3rd pair of Ghost 16. They are comfortable and require no breaking in time. They feel like a pillow surrounding your foot. I am 74 yrs old, more than moderately active, and have plantar fasciitis and arthritis in both feet. I wear insoles for plantar fasciitis that fit smoothly into these shoes. I walk 1 hour per day and am moving most of the time. At the end of most days, my feet are still very comfortable and happy. The fit is good, allowing for plenty of toe room. If I didn't have to wear insoles for plantar fasciitis, I think the shoe's arch support would be sufficient. I plan to continue wearing Ghost 16 shoes as long as they don't change! ... show more
