  • Great running shoe for high arches
Size: 7.5 Color: Black/Pearl/Peach
I have been a runner since I was in my early teens (more than a few decades ago!) and have always had to be selective about my running shoes- I chose these sneakers after reading a review in a running publication about the top recommended running shoes for runners with high arches. I have very high arches, underpronate/supinate and am susceptible to shin splints if I wear the wrong shoes. I have been running 3-5 miles/day 5-6 days/week since getting these Brooks and have not had any toe, foot, ankle or shin pain. If you are looking for a light, well cushioned sneaker that happens to also be super cute (I have the black with peach detail) give these a try! Disclaimer: I don’t know enough about biokinetics to weigh in on how well they’d suit someone with a neutral stride overpronating stride. ... show more

  • This shoe a bit TOO wide for me.
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black/Pink/Yucca
The REGULAR Brooks Ghost running shoe had enough width. This is a TRUE wide shoe. I thought I needed this wide, but the design of the regular Ghost design did well. I DO highly recommend this shoe for anyone who has a wide foot, low arch, and find themselves fitting a bit snug in regular tennis. It’s probably also a great shoe for people with bunions or post bunion surgery who have issues with shoes rubbing on the bone on the side of the foot. Traditionally in rubbing shoes, it’s rule of thumb to go up a size, but I found that this wide shoe only needed to go up a half size. The shoe is light, and the traction is thick enough at the bottom to absorb a lot of impact in rubbing that traditionally affects the knees and outter hips when running. ... show more

  • Wide toe box
Size: 8 Color: Blue/Ocean/Oyster
This is my second pair of Brooks Ghost 14. I like a wide toe box and this shoe is known for that. In my old age, my feet swell up when walking and often by the end I cannot wait to get my shoes off, even though they felt great when I started out. And, with many brands a shoe fits with a summer weight thin sock, but too tight with a Bombas or Balega. This shoe doesn't have that issue, again because of the wider toe box. ... show more

  • Very comfortable if you are on your feet all day
Size: 9 Color: Blue/Ocean/Oyster
I’m either standing or walking on concrete floors for most of my shift. After I get off of work, my body is usually a 7/10 on the pain scale. My legs, knees, feet, lower back, all hurt. I have wide feet and high arches. I usually wear an 8.5 but went up a half a size and got a 9. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable! I’ve worn them for 4 shifts now and my pain at most is 2/10. I used to wear Skechers arch fit but was going through them so fast. I looked online at shoes that podiatrists recommended and Brooks kept coming up. I’m very happy with my purchase! I no longer feel the need to sit down every chance I get because my body hurts so bad. I had no idea how much pressure I was putting on my knees until I got these shoes. What a difference! I highly recommend these shoes! ... show more

  • Brooks are always my "Go To" shoes for problem feet
Size: 8.5 Color: White/Purple/Coral
I'm a sucker for a clean and understated looking shoe but comfort is the most important thing... especially when training. I have a history of foot issues (I have a screw in one foot and have delt with plantar and tendon issues in the other for years). The only shoes that have worked well for me, consistently, have been the Brooks Neutral Ghost and I've never had any issues, but I did notice that these particular shoes (for whatever reason) are a little short in the toe box compared to the other pair I have. I normally wear an 8.5 - with plenty of room - but these fit more like an 8.25. This could be a stitching issue or maybe a run switch on the assembly line, so it won't keep me from ordering another pair. :) ... show more

  • Some Colors Lower Priced Than Others
Size: 9 Color: White/Purple/Coral
I already knew that Brooks Ghost 14 work for me, so when mine wore out, I looked online before purchasing the new 15's in-store. I'm glad I did. The white ones were priced considerably lower than all of the other colors. Since I couldn't care less what color my shoes are, this was a no-brainer. They were $15+ less than all of the other colors! If you are new to Brooks, I would advise purchasing your first pair in-store some where. But once you know what works for you, it's smarter to buy online. Although the "try before you buy" option is another great choice. As far as the shoe itself, it's a moderately cushioned neutral daily running shoe. I have somewhat high arches, wide toe and narrow heel. With some lacing adjustment, these work really well for me. It's a good, quality shoe. If you are new to purchasing running shoes, it's really a good idea to get fit in a running specific store so they can analyze your gait and pronation. But if that's just not possible, a good rule of thumb is to go one size larger than your normal shoes. You want to fit one finger tip in between your big toe and the front of the shoe. Your feet will expand while you run, so you need room to wiggle. If you experience a lot of bruised or blackened toe nails, it's likely you need to size up. ... show more

  • Love these
Size: 9 Color: White/Purple/Coral
I've been a dedicated glycerin wearer for years, but on a whim decided to purchase these ghosts on sale. To my surprise, even though glycerin are more cushioned, I found the ghosts far more comfortable. Also, they feel much cooler on my feet, which is a real plus for the climate that I live in. Still love my glycerins, but I think I'm going to be a ghost girl from now on. For reference, I'm a casual runner, I run a few miles in my neighborhood three to four times a week. ... show more

  • Amazing comfort!
Loved these shoes so much, worth every cent I paid. Supportive soles (I have high arches), kept my fatigued feet comfortable. Bought these for a 5 day trip to Disneyland. Which meant a LOT of walking. I took these as well as a pair of my adidas and a pair of Solomon’s. And immediately switched over half way thru the day on the day I chose to try the others. The days I wore these straight I didn’t have nearly as much foot pain! Passed the 25k+ 16 hour day test! ... show more
