    • Fabulous comfort and support
I wear an 8 1/2 Narrow, purchased a 9 Narrow. What a great shoe. I wear an 8 1/2 Narrow which is incredibly difficult to find and when I do, they don't always fit. I ordered this in 8 1/2 N and 9N, ended up keeping the 9N so I would have room for socks. This is a wonderful shoe - As soon as I put them on I didn't want to take them off. The shoe is narrow as I hoped for, so that my foot doesn't fall out or slip out, my foot doesn't slide around. Yet it's not too snug, plenty of room in the toe box. Well cushioned these are extremely comfortable shoes. When you see the shoe, the heel area that extends outside the width of the shoe might look odd, but it looks fine when on and the heel is extremely comfortable. Fabric in the front and toes is perforated to keep them cool. My dog loves to walk in the wet grass but my shoes don't seem to get wet at all. These are my favorite shoes ever. My own concern is with the lace ups. Narrow shoe strings, small eyelets mean it is difficult to alter the fit using the shoelaces. If you have a wider foot, you can leave them the way they come. With my narrow foot I know I'm going to need to tighten them up. I notice the shoe is loosening up a little (after one week) and so I will have to tighten the laces to get a fit, I can see this will be a little tricky given the way the eyelets and shoelaces are setup. Hopefully I will be able to get the fit I need. ... show more

Love this shoes!! I've been looking for a walking/running shoes that has a wide option for forever!! I tried flux footwear and altra! I also had hokas. Its not wide enough for my toe box. I returned both! However, the brooks ghost 23 has wide and X- wide option! Which i love!! I got an xwide 6.5, just to try it. My true size is 5.5 but i always get size 7 for more room (imagine) I noticed that the brooks ghost 23 was actually wider than i thought so i ordered 2 more pairs with different sizes to try which one is best for me. In summary, i would buy this shoes over and over again! 🥲💛 Love this sizes options, color is nice too. I got the grayish white w purple and black combination. I walked it for a quite long distance it didn't hurt my foot at all. Support is good for me since i learned that i do need some arch support than being barefoot like altra or flux. Traction is good too, versatility not sure yet since i only tried it for 2 days now, the outer sole is durable in my personal opinion. But yes, buy it and try it for yourself. If you are looking for a wide toe box shoes since i also have corns from a lot if frictions in my bad socks and narrowed shoes this one doesnt touch the toe box that much and i have a lot of room in my toes! I have a very high mid arch and get wicked fasciitis in my right arch if I don't have good support when I run. About a 8 months ago, I found these Brooke's GTS23 running shoes and was instantly impressed with the arch support when I tried them on. I was actually able to run faster with these shoes as they are lightweight and they have great support. I run 6-8 miles 6 days a week, just for my own health (I am not a marathon runner) and with other shoes I have had to purchased new shoes every three months. The fact that these last over 8 months before I could tell that I have worn them out was fantastic!!! I've not had even one little bit of pain in my foot since I started wearing these shoes. They are worth every penny and as long as Brooke's doesn't stop making them, they will be my shoe of choice going forward. It was great to be able to get my new pair on Amazon, as I live in a rural area and it's a 2-3 hour drive to city where I can purchase these shoes. I highly recommend. ... show more

I bought these April 18 2025. It is now Nov 16 2025. I work in the hospital where my job is made up of nonstop walking for most of my shift. These shoes started off comfortable. Nice && airy feeling, perfect size, a bit of an arch support. However around August, the cushion was mostly flat. Around the end of September, the 1st hole was formed. October, my feet is killing me from the flatness && you can see my sock. To now, I hate having to wear them. Overall, the shoes lasted longer than I expected. Definitely longer than other shoes I’ve tried. Recommend it if you don’t walk as much as me. I easily hit 8k+ a shift ... show more

    • The perfect shoe with a caveat
Let me start by saying that I am a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker and average about 45 miles per week, I also have one dropped arch and over-pronate, so much so that my ankle, my achilles tendon and my heel hurt at the end of the day in another brand, my body takes a beating. I already own one pair of Brooks supportive running shoes and love them, they have been a lifesaver, I also live in western Washington with 7 to 8 months of rain in the year and in the winter we average about 40 degrees and my feet were getting wet and cold within the first mile. I was debating on getting these waterproof gortex Brooks because of $$$ let me tell you, I wish I had bought them sooner!!! Paired with a pair of Merino wool socks and my feet are no longer cold OR WET!!! And I have the same stability and support and no pain! Now the caveat, I did some research and read the reviews and decided to buy one full size larger than my normal size and the fit with or without the merino socks couldn't be better! I am in Dog Walking heaven and even my average mph has increased :D ... show more

I bought these shoes for work and for running, since i’m on my feet a lot for work and i want to have a comfortable supportive shoe. I’m very pleased with the traction, support, and durability. I’ve had these for about six or seven months and they’ve held up very well. They’ve gotten dirty since they’re a light color, but I expected that. Typically I’m a size 8.5, but for these I bought a size 9 and they fit perfectly. I like that the guide rails in the arches keep my foot and ankle even, preventing the uneven wear of my shoes since i have very high arches and tend to put more pressure on the outsides of my feet. ... show more
