From the first wear, they were incredibly comfortable—no break-in time needed. The cushioning provides excellent support, especially during all-day wear, and they feel stable without being heavy. I have just retired these shoes after they more than exceeded their expected lifespan. Running shoes typically last about 6 months or 300-500 miles. These lasted 10 months and 1,100 miles of speed walking and running. I’m beyond happy with them. Super support and comfortable, you’d never know I wore out the soles from looking at the uppers. They still have the original color and vibrancy, still feel great when walking in them, and I’ll keep them as yard shoes. Just as comfortable as the Trace 2’s. The color is nice as well, though, the check ark seems to be a lighter color than what is displayed in the product images. I am a size 10 and they fit properly without being too loose or tight. They are very comfortable for walking and standing for long periods of time, as well. They provide a good amount of cushioning and support for slightly heavy people.     • Solid daily trainer at a great price point.
The more expensive Brooks shoes get the most marketing attention but this shoe is amazing for the price. It doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles, it's not mega plush or high stack, but it has a very natural fit and the foam feels absolutely fine especially for daily training runs. I've used it for tempo runs as well down to about 7:30 minutes per mile. It has an accommodating toe box and a more fitted midfoot and heel which I personally prefer. It also has a generous amount of sole rubber so I expect to get at least the standard 300 miles out of it assuming the midsole holds up. I can afford fancier shoes but honestly this is one of the few out of dozens of pairs I've bought that basically nails everything I want for a daily trainer and I'll probably eventually repurchase these or the Trace 4. ... show more

    • Comfortable, versatile and affordable running shoes

Great, comfortable and versatile all around shoes. Hey been using a pair for 10 months now for casual runs (3-6 miles, 3-4 times per week) and they are holding up well. Also nice that they are not off putting when worn with casual clothes to avoid having to pack extra shoes during travel.

    • Walk, don't run!

They look cool and are lightweight and breathe well. While the correct size, the shoes never feel secure on my feet no matter how tight the laces are. Combined with a very spongey and tall cushion it makes running scary due to the instability of the massive midsole/outsole which due to their chunkiness you have to also worry about the shoes hitting each other and tripping you. Also a terrible driving shoe - snagging the pedals and carpeting while blocking all feel (driving stick is tuff!) These are a walking shoe that become dangerous with speed. Back to running with hiking boots until I can afford to try Asics, meanwhile these sit in a box :( Rated high because maybe they are good for short kings and chonky dudes, too unstable for long legs, 6ft 2in 175lbs me. ... show more
