  • OMG So comfortable for Walking
Size: 10 Color: Black/Atomic Blue/Jasmine
You could run in these, but I choose them for walking, and they are super comfortable and supportive. I have another pair of Brooks, which are of excellent quality. They look great also, and I will probably end up jogging in this. I am mature, so stability when walking is essential, and these do the job perfectly. ... show more

  • Incredibly Comfortable – Perfect for Walking!
Size: 8.5 Color: Grey/Black/Sharp Green
I can’t express how comfortable these shoes are! I recently started walking more to be more active, and after browsing Amazon, these caught my attention. Based on the positive reviews, I decided to give them a try—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I put them on, the comfort was noticeable. The cushioning makes a huge difference compared to my previous shoes, and walking feels much more enjoyable. I’ve only been using them for a week, so time will tell how well they hold up, but if the durability matches the comfort, I’ll be very happy! As for sizing, I found them to run true to size. I wear a US 8.5, and they fit perfectly. I did see some mixed reviews about sizing, but I’m glad I went with my usual size. Overall, I’ll definitely be putting these shoes to good use, and Brooks will be high on my list for future walking shoe purchases! ... show more

  • Great shoe
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Atomic Blue/Jasmine
The best running shoes I have had in a long time. When I used to be a more avid runner, this would have been my go-to shoe. It is very cushioned and light. My knees are very thankful. Brooks seems to be doing an awesome job these days.

  • Awesome for heavier runner
Size: 10.5 Color: Grey/Black/Sharp Green
I'm a little over 200 lbs and while many of the ShoeTubers say the Ghost Max are too firm, they actually strike just the right balance of soft and supportive for me as a somewhat heavier runner. I do a lot of walking and some running, mostly easy runs, 25+ miles per week. I have mild plantar fasciitis. I've recently gone through Revel 7 and Ghost 15. Currently on Glycerin 20. Glycerin almost feel too soft, which seems to make it a little harder to run in. Pretty big heel cushion on those too. Almost too much. Today, I laced up the Ghost Max and went out for a test run. I was just going for a little break-in and launched into a full on 5k because the shoes just wanted to run! WOW! These shoes do everything right for me. Excellent fit. Excellent cushion. Excellent mild rocker. I even feel like the foam is giving me a little energy back with each step! I land somewhere between heel and midfoot and my shoes tend to wear out more toward the midfoot. Shoes are a very personal thing, so take all the reviews with salt. :-) But, I LOVE these shoes! LOVE LOVE LOVE I just hope the Ghost Max II isn't a step backwards with the Glycerin style foam. And note to ShoeTubers: please try to keep in mind that not every runner in your audience is built like you are and little extra weight can really change how shoes feel and perform. :-) ... show more

  • Comfy walker, but kind of a clodhopper
For context, I'm average weight for my short-ish stature, so that might figure into my opinion of these shoes. I run about 15 miles a week, but I bought these solely for walking. They have wide sole, especially for a neutral shoe, so if you need a hint of stability you'll find it here. They are also heavy, but for a reason - they are quite cushioned with good bounce from forefoot to heel. The sole is flat to, no rocker shape to help push forward. To me that is a good thing for a walking shoe. I like the underfoot feel of rockers when running, not so much when walking. Ironically, because they are such a "big" shoe I can't walk very fast in them, which cuts down my enjoyment of them. They make my feet happy, but my quads sad. Slower walks though are fine and I think they'd be great for people who are on their feet all day, especially if you want something cushioned, but not over the top like most Hokas are. ... show more

  • These are literally the most…
Size: 9 Color: Surf the Web/Peacoat/Sulphur
Gorgeous shoes! I always buy my husband shoes because he loves them so much- for his birthday, for Christmas, for our anniversary, etc. he said he wanted blue shoes this time so I scoured Amazon to find the coolest shoes I could and I settled on these dark but bright blue with a dark soles. I literally gasped and my mouth fell open when I opened the box. They are stunning! I know it sounds a little overboard, but I’m here to tell you they are beautiful shoes! My husband has issues with rolling outwards, but these shoes will not let him. The heel is solid and square and won’t allow him to tilt out, which is first and foremost, He also has spine issues and he was able to wear these right out the box all day long and even put them on the next day and here we are the third day and he is still wearing them. I was going to take a picture and look for them because my husband is mowing the grass. I Looked outside and realized he is still wearing them! They are that comfortable!! although I’m going to have to look at him sideways wearing them while mowing 😮💨. He loves them and I do too! They are really lightweight and really for the money versus those trendy expensive ones these are more comfortable and don’t allow his heel to roll out as mentioned before. With the other ones, The material was netting and it was Like he was basically falling out of his shoes on the outer edges. I don’t see that happening with these. 👏🏻🤩 ... show more

  • Great support for weak ankles
Size: 9 Color: Black/Atomic Blue/Jasmine
They look a bit clunky but they definitely did the job of supporting my ankle and did not really feel any heavier than previous Brooks I had used before (my latest pair of running shoes were New Balance and the Brooks Ghost Max was definitely no heavier than those). I had hurt my ankle and have plantar fasciitis, which had prevented me from running for a couple of months and so I was somewhat apprehensive about restarting. This was the main reason for choosing the Brooks Ghost Max as they had great reviews for ankle control and cushioning. The experience was a success, and while I may still need to give my ankle a few days to recover between successive runs, the shoes did a fantastic job at keeping it straight and comfortable. ... show more
