I am a woman size 81/2 EX. These shoes are hard to find and often where the Wide is a little too narrow, the XW allows my foot to slide forward which hurts my toes. I ordered the men’s size 7 W and they are the best fitting shoes I have had in a long time. My feet do not slide forward. There is even room for the custom orthotic that I wear. I find the shoes very comfortable with excellent padding. The only issue was once I had put in my orthotic, the shoe strings were too short to double tie the shoes. The first time I'm writing a review for a shoe, and the first shoe I've ordered online: what a great pair of shoes! They look great, feel great, a light weight, and months later still look like new. The tread looks high quality, and I've worn these with jeans and brown dockers and they go well casually and semi-business. I've been wearing these casually since buying them, and just recently tried jogging, and they are great. I'm up to a half-hour of jogging and have felt no pain and a lot of support around the ankle and heel. I've had foot pain after a day of being on my feet, and that hasn't happened. While I can't say for sure this is causation, it certainly seems like it since I haven't changed anything else recently. They look great and feel great. Very good quality shoes, fits my foot nicely and snug without being too tight or loose. The last shoes I had were starting to get too tight and I'd get blisters but I haven't had that issue at all with these and it doesn't feel like I'll have that issue any time soon. Walking feels nice and it feels like they're going to last for a while. Would absolutely recommend these shoes for work or just everyday walking, I know I use them everywhere. ... show more

These are absolutely the best tennis shoes I think I have ever had. I’m including a picture, I just put them on. They fit perfectly and they are super comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about them.

The jury is still out on this latest version of the Ghost. I have gone through a couple pairs of Ghosts (starting with 15) a year since 2023. In general they have been excellent shoes in terms of comfort, durability (5-7 miles a day), and fit. This latest version is firmer (in terms of cushioning). Fit is still good and wet traction seems marginally better than previous models. The firmer part is where I am less enthused than I have been in the past. Im coming from Hoka Arahi 8 and these are a blessing. Ive been wearing the Arahis since gen 4 and I finally switched after the new ones where unbearably hot and I won't be going back because the first time I put these on it reminded me of the first time I put on a pair of Hokas after wearing $20 shoes my whole life. This amazing lifting feeling where the second they slip on, you just wanna run. Its an amazingly difficult experience to describe but we'll worth it. I ended up purchasing 2 pairs one for work and one for running/daily use. The work pair I walk about 24k steps per day at work which is retail and never sit in a 9 hour shift sometimes and I never notice any pain, soreness, or exhaustion like I started to get with my Hokas. Fit is true and have helped me deal with foot pain that I had tried many solution for. I have now purchased 4 pairs total of the Brooks shoes and am a firm supporter of their quality, manufacture, and fit. FYI - some style run a bit narrow so be careful when purchasing.
