  • Very comfortable.
Size: 9.5 X-Wide Color: Primer/Grey/Lime
Finally a shoe wide enough my foot is not in pain when I run. Cushy and supportive enough I want to run. Better than barefoot.

  • Perfect
Size: 12.5 Color: Black/Black/Ebony
When I started running not that many years ago, I went to a proper running store to get fitted. The fitter there looked at my feet, and said "there are 3 shoes that will work for you." I tried them all, and my faves were the Ghosts. I especially appreciated that they came in all-black; generally I've found that the more serious a running shoe is, the uglier it is. These I can actually wear as all-day walk-around-town shoes. The Ghosts are middle-of-the-road in almost all respects. And this is a good thing, at least for my purposes. They're about halfway between a motion-control shoe and a cushioning shoe. They're heavier and more durable than a performance shoe, but plenty light enough for anything non-competitive. They're medium width (I believe there's actually a choice of widths, which is even better). I find these perfect for trail running (on easy, non-technical trails—for more serious stuff I use La Sportivas). And for walking. They're obviously good for road running, but I don't really do that. This all makes them perfect for me; YMMV. They seem to be perfect for a lot of people, also, which brings another advantage: Brooks keeps making this model year after year, with only minor revisions. So when you wear out your pair, you can always just buy another one. I'm on my 3rd now. I don't have to keep going back to square one and getting professionally fitted, because know next year's model Ghost will be fine. When I wear them out, I keep the old pair around as beaters. They handle all the messy projects and abuse, sparing the new ones. ... show more

  • Pretty good shoe for working on concrete floors
Size: 12 X-Wide Color: Black/Black/Ebony
Nice and cushy for working all day on concrete floors. Takes some impact off of my ankles, knees, and lower back. They don't have much of a toe-drop though, which is a bummer since I have horribly bad achilles tendinitis and needed a set of heel lifts which made the great cushion of these shoes slightly less effective. Seems to have helped my plantar fasciitis a little bit after swapping in my orthotic insoles with arch support. Very lightweight and breathable for the hot days. ... show more

  • Best shoes!
Size: 13 Wide Color: Black/Grey/White
This is my third pair of these in as many years! They fit great, and last! I’m a heavy guy, and these helped me get walking again. As they didn’t hurt my feet and I felt like I had better balance in them. They are a little pricey at full price. But if you catch them on sale, buy you a pair or two. They have lots of different colors whether you want flashy or neutral. ... show more

  • Possible Brand Convert
Size: 9.5 Color: Black/Grey/White
I am into these about 30mi. I have been loyal to a different brand for decades, but found this year's neutral running model of that brand is not going to last the season because of lack of thickness to the rubber in the landing pad. So these Brooks are a trial to see if I'm ready to jump ship. Things are looking good for Brooks, although will have to see over the course of a summer. Foam, no matter what brand, is such a fantastic innovation if you want to call it that. Oh my gosh foam does heaps to reduce the wear on joints over a running season. So the foam base, on these in my opinion, is in line with the industry and on par. It's cushions quite well. Again, they are just breaking in at 30 miles for me. The rubber pad is what makes these better than the model I am coming from. The rubber on these is hardened in some way and seems to be wearing well. In any event, I have confidence at this stage that they can last a full season. My other pair would not. The room in the shoe is right for me. I feel no cramping in the toe box. They feel a snug pair of shoes, but not too tight. I am happy with the fit. Fit is right for me. I like the material of the upper. It breathes enough for me. The laces, the tongue it's all about right for my preference. So looking good that I make the switch into the brand. It's a neutral shoe, which means it's expected that the wearer has a neutral gate and doesn't need extra support for a rolling landing and they do fine by me here. Love them so far. ... show more

This shoe fits my narrow feet and is extremely comfortable, like walking on cushions. Very lightweight and nice looking as well.
