I use these shoes for every day use, not specifically as running shoes. They are very comfortable and breathable. The sole cushions are nice and feel like they form to my feet. I really like the Ghost color scheme. I’m men’s size 13 US.

I have always been a fan of Brooks. I have probably bought 10 pairs over the years. I've had this shoe for about 4 months now and wear it about 4-5x a week for work, all day, and then run in it about once week. (I'm not a "runner" but I do run as part of an exercise routine.) It has held up well so far with no obvious issues. To be honest, it still feels like a new shoe 4 months later. I typically replace shoes like this about about once/year as that seems to be when they start looking tired and worn and the support starts to break down. I actually bought these for walking and not running, but they work really well as walking shoes. Soft, comfortable, and a lot of room in the toe-cage area. My previous shoes (under armor) were very good, and had nice tread etc, but they were a bit slim/small and the sizing was hard to get right. For these, a 10 is a 10 -- no weirdness. Style is good, and the color matches my wife's preference -- she loves purple, so it works out pretty well. I'm actually debating getting another pair and putting them under my bed for when these ones die. For now, I will stick to my Nike Zooms for running, but I'm a ghost man for walking. ... show more

I’ve been running in Brooks for years now, and the Ghost 16 continues to prove why it’s my top choice. I picked these up on sale, and they immediately became part of my daily rotation. I run every day, outdoor and treadmill, and I keep one pair just for the treadmill to extend their life. Even with that much use, they hold up extremely well. The cushioning feels balanced, not overly soft, but just enough to absorb impact and keep things smooth on long runs (i weigh about 190). The toe box has enough room without feeling sloppy, and the heel lockdown is solid. They’re lightweight but still supportive, which I appreciate after trying a few shoes from other brands that felt either too heavy or too flimsy. Design-wise, the color options on the Ghost 16 look nice. They’ve moved toward a more modern athletic look, not overly flashy but still sharp enough that I wear them casually too. The upper is breathable and doesn’t feel bulky or overly padded, even after long use. Honestly, for a neutral runner, it’s hard to find a better blend of comfort, durability, and performance at this price, especially when they’re on sale.     • Comfortable - Lightweight but Small in Size
I was in search of a good, lightweight walking shoe and my research came up with the Brooks Ghost 16. They popped up multiple times in recommendations. My intent for the shoes is for a a European trip we're making this summer. We'll be doing a great deal of city walking in Barcelona as well as some hiking (Montserrat & Cinque Terre). I ordered the shoe in my normal size, 10 w/ a normal width. After receiving the shoes I slipped them on for my normal evening 2 mile walk. My toes were crammed in the tip and I contemplated just keeping them hoping they would 'stretch' after wearing them. Instead, common sense prevailed and I returned them. As soon as my refund was returned I ordered a 10 1/2. Rec'd them and they fit like a glove (almost). This was my first pair of "Brooks" so I wasn't familiar with size variations. I've never had a shoe or boot in a 10 1/2 in the past. So, recommendation #1, if you're considering purchasing these, order them in a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. The other issue is that the description boasts a "high arch", which I have. These are not 'high arches', just normal. I ordered a set of "Walk Hero" inserts and inserted them in the shoes and now they fit 100% Great. I could have downgraded my rating to 4-stars but I kept it at 5. These are a great, lightweight, super comfortable walking shoe. I especially love this color (coconut). I recommend these just be wary of the small size as advertised. ... show more
