Bought these Ghost 16 strictly because I was sitting in a boring lecture one day and went shopping in Amazon to stay awake... but am extremely pleased with these shoes. I own 2 pair of Ghost 15 and one of the Adrenaline 22 GTS. (And just this week bought a pair of the Glycerin 21) Of all of my Brooks purchases the Ghost 16 are the best. A little springier than the 15s, but just as comfortable. I am not a runner; I stand on my feet all day and the only running I do is run up and down the stairs periodically but no track or anything. After decades of achy feet at the end of every work day I just assumed that was the way it was supposed to be. Bought the Ghost 15s a year ago because all the reviews I ran across said they were the best. All the reviews were right! These things are great! For my size 11 feet the Ghost 15s are perfect, not as supportive as the Adrenaline 22 GTS so for me much more comfortable, not a cushiony as the Glycerin 21 but more than cushiony enough. Then I bought a pair of the Ghost 16. These are MORE perfecter than the 15s. And they look snazzy too,

Review follows 20 days since delivery. I’ve used the shoe on 16 occasions since, which each is about 5 km. The shoe was true to size, and did not require any breaking in. I have used both barefoot and traditional type shoes in the past. The Ghost 16 is suited for walking and running, and is a very comfortable shoe that provides more cushioning that I am used to (I generally run/walk on asphalt). The shoe absorbs much of the impact, and the shape allows my foot to feel secure without having a constricting toe box. After a short (5 km) walk or a run my feet does not feel fatigued or strained, and this is one of the strong points of this shoe. As a barefoot run generally leaves my feet feeling at least a little strained or tired, and typical trainers does not absorb the impact as well as these. There is minimal wear at this point, and the shoe still presents as new. The shoe lasers stay tied as long as you give them a good tug when you tighten them. $135 is a fairly steep for a pair of running shoes, especially considering how fast you wear them out, but I don’t regret the purchase and will definitely consider getting another pair when the time comes. 5 stars, everything you can hope for.

These shoes although a higher price point are WELL worth the money, they are strong, durable, have arch support unlike any other brand, comfortable like no other shoe and above all very breathable. Most other shoes tend to get hot when walking or exercising but not the ghosts, for some reason the more you move the cooler they get. If you walk forward you can feel the air flowing into the shoe, it sounds like a small thing, but this is HUGE, as like no other shoe does this so well. I've tried Nikes, Adidas, Jordans, Onclouds and even HeyDudes but the Ghosts beat all of them.

I discovered this shoe in a regular retail store, but they didn't stock the 4E width. Amazon to the rescue. This is the most expensive and most comfortable shoe I have owned. Like many running shoes it makes for a great walking shoe.
