After my graduate degree and marriage I ran five miles a night for over twenty years; I ran on my toes, always have. I had hammer toe surgery and knee surgery (at the same time) in 2012 and they didn't put a band on my leg to keep the blood pumping; two days later I had a DVT in my ankle. I didn't want to have the left foot done but the pain, just walking, was unbearable. On February 27th a podiatrist performed a flexor tenotomy,in her office in Irving, on my foot. In two weeks, after my foot heals, I will be fine. I wonder why an orthopedic surgeon didn't tell me about this procedure?

I have no idea where Brooks is getting the image for the Ebony/Black/Oyster color way, but it is nowhere near the color shown. In the stock image it looks more blue/gray. But in reality it's a dark grey (check my image uploaded with review). This is exactly what I was looking for and fits perfectly, I've had On Coulds and felt that the arch in the sole was to high, but these are perfect running shoes.

i do a 5k every morning in these and love them. They feature a breathable upper that helps to keep feet cool and dry. I got these for road running, but found that they worked better on my Rocky trails then my various Hoka. I have destroyed 3 pairs of Hoka in the life of one pair of Ghosts. They don't break down. The foam compacts, but still provides great cushion. I way like 250 and just destroy other shoes. These last really long and are very comfortable for all activities.

I've purchased Brooks running shoes before so I'm familiar with the Ghost line up. I have a neutral foot so these worked great for me right out of the box. They are light, have excellent stability and are comfortable on long runs. I'll be purchasing a black pair. My orthopedic surgeon highly recommends Brooks shoes.

I like these shoes they have a great look. the toe is way too stiff. I wore them for two days and I could not get used to the toe being so stiff. It was almost like steel toe shoes ! so I had to return them.first pair of brooks ever returned. The levitates fit really good! Thatโs one shoe Iโve never had a problem with from Brooks. I just found a pair of levitates for 50 bucks off the original price!
