Last year I went to the doctor after not seeing one for over 10 years. Turned out I had Neurotrophy in both feet and have type 2 diabetes, and was pounding down sugar like there was no tomorrow. For the last year, I walk 2 to 3 miles every day, and occasionally I even walk up to 5 miles. I have lost 65 lbs but the one thing I suffer is pain in my feet. The pain is indescribable and over the last year, I have probably bought no less than 20 pairs of shoes in an attempt to find comfort. I googled the most comfortable shoes for diabetics and found these. I bought one size larger than I normally use and the first time I went for a 2-mile walk and later I thought, hmm this is the first time I didn't even think of foot pain while walking. So far I love these shoes! It's been a few walks now and I can honestly say they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I would defiantly recommend Brooks to other people.

I am a casual runner and regular jogger. I jog about 25 miles / 40 km per week, and compete in 10K and half marathon (13.1 mile) races. This shoe offers excellent support and cushioning, and it is well made. The ribbed laces stay tied. The inserts and tongue stay put if the shoe fits, and is properly tied. Because I have high foot arches, I add a Pro-Foot insert to each shoe for extra cushioning. The shoes offer good grip on almost any surface, including in wet road conditions. I have been running in Brooks since the Ravenna 6 (my first pair) was current (2013/14?). I have tried other brands, but keep returning to Brooks - they make good products.

I purchased these shoes to take on a two week trip to Europe. I visited 4 different countries and 8 different cities. The shoes being new out of the box, I expected some break in would be necessary. From day one the shoes fit and felt great! This was a walking tour. As an example, my Apple Watch calculated that in Marseille, France I walked 28,203 steps and covered 14.2 miles in one day. The usual daily average was closer to 20,000 steps each day. I am 77 years old, and this is the first review I have ever posted for a product. The shoes still look like they just came out of the box. Great product!!!

I've been running for years, and I've tried a lot of different running shoes. But the Brooks Men's Ghost 14 Neutral Running Shoe is by far the best running shoe I've ever worn. The Ghost 14 is incredibly comfortable. The cushioning is soft and supportive, and the shoe fits like a glove. I never feel like my feet are getting tired or sore, even after long runs.

If you are like me and frugal with your money, you may be questioning if you should spend $100 on these shoes? I had never owned Brooks before but had heard good things. These shoes are so comfortable and I feel like I’m walking on springs. Whether it’s in the gym running or just casual activities they have been great. So yes, spend the money.

The shoes are comfortable and fit nice. I have had them for only a couple months and have only used them to run on my treadmill. I am a little disappointed that one of the shoes is starting to have a blue discoloration as can be seen in the picture. Since I only run indoors with them, I don't know what has caused it. But overall, the shoes work good.

I've continued to follow the Ghost line by purchasing the next newest model each time I need to replace them. These definitely are an upgrade from the 13s as far as the footbed goes, but they cheaped out on the laces. Nothing like running along next to a sharp drop into a river below and having your shoelaces come untied. The laces almost seem to be designed to come untied versus staying knotted. I couldn't give a 5 star rating, but would recommend the 14s, as long as you plan to buy some replacement oval laces like the ones previously provided by Brooks.

I have probably 8 pairs of brooks and prefer the various ghost models. This one is nice as well. Unfortunately I returned these as I didn't like the color, but ended up buying a pair of black/red with the gore Tex for water resistance. Unfortunately I had weird popping noise/feeling with those (never with the non version) but brooks quickly sent me replacements that didn't have the same issue.
