  • A great and protective shoe for trail running
I've had these shoes for about 2 years now I think. Theyve been my main running shoe for both roads and trails and they have really performed well. I think for pure road running theres better options but i typically do a combo of roads and trails. The shoes are light but feel very secure and sturdy on your foot, with good ankle support. The material quality is also quite nice and theres little wear and tear on my pair even after 2 years (I run trails once a week on average). But one of the best parts of the shoe is the very strong support underneath. I forget what they call it but its some sort of base plate reinforced thing in the sole, but dang i can bomb down trails slamming down on roots and sharp rocks and all sorts of stuff and my feet feel totally protected. Overall a great pair of trail runners and I'll def be checking out brooks again when I need a new pair ... show more

  • Excellent Trail Running Shoe
I am incredibly impressed with the Brooks Men's Cascadia 16 Trail Running Shoe! As an avid trail runner, these shoes have exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, performance, and durability. The shoe provides excellent support and stability on rugged trails, thanks to its reliable grip and traction. The BioMoGo DNA midsole offers responsive cushioning, absorbing impact and providing a smooth ride over varying terrain. I particularly appreciate the rugged construction of the shoe. The durable mesh upper is breathable yet protective, keeping my feet comfortable and cool during long runs. The reinforced toe cap and mud guard provide added protection against rocks and debris. The fit is true to size, and the lacing system allows for a secure, customized fit. The overall design is sleek and stylish, making them versatile for both trail running and everyday wear. Overall, I highly recommend the Brooks Men's Cascadia 16 Trail Running Shoe to anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable shoe for their outdoor adventures. It's a game-changer for trail enthusiasts! ... show more

  • Wonderful trail running shoes for those of us with huge feet!
My feet are quite large (13.5, wide) and it's exceptionally difficult finding trail running shoes that are actually comfortable. I tried Lone Peaks, which are comfortable for everyday wear, but they offer basically no support, and while some see this as a good thing, they didn't work for me. Aside from Lone Peaks, I found very few shoes that actually fit comfortably in my size, but one of those few I found are these Cascadias. These are great! Super comfortable, I can run in them all day, plenty of grip, and they fit true to size. I wear Adrenalines for normal running and moving over to these for trails feels completely natural. Highly recommend, especially if you have large feet and are having a difficult time like I was! ... show more

  • Good but painful
Size: 10.5 Color: Peacoat/Atomic Blue/Rooibos
The best thing about these shoes are the weight. They are super light which any quality running shoe should be. However, they could be lighter by removing all the ridged plastic in the heal and toe areas. I’m running trails not out kicking logs and rocks. The hard plastic areas cause massive blistering even on veteran soles like mine. I have bones in my feet and ankles. I don’t need all this stuff ridged crap added. The other downside to the plastic is it creates a breading area for bacteria and the shoe take twice as long to dry as all mesh or fabric shoes do to the condensation build up. I know Scott Jute used to rock these but he also busted his ankle in them. I expected better from Brooks. ... show more

  • Great sneaker(buying another pair!)
I walk roughly 11 miles outdoors for my job a day. Love these so much this is 2nd pair. Very comfortable with a good fit. They also do not get my feet wet from walking in the morning dew which I love. Durability is good as well lasting a year with the inner sole not wearing out like others. Traction is also very good while walking as the bottoms have stayed intact and not wore out . I have used many different sneakers and they usually wear out within a couple months so it is a pleasure to find a product that is both durable and comfortable with a good price. Definite buy ... show more

  • snug but good
brooks quality for sure! i would of given 5 stars if the top wasn't so tight. wides are to wide and regular are sometimes snug. With the laces as loose as I can tie them they may need a lot more braking-in before they are a 5 star. but to walk in all day they are very comfortable.

  • What I wanted for backpacking!
Size: 13 Color: Zinnia/Eclipse/Nomad
Lots of good features that I haven’t found in Merrill or Hoka trail runners. They have a wider platform with a stiffer sole, lugs that didn’t break off, and laces that were flat and stayed tied. Very breathable too as advertised, and that really helped when going through water. It was like the ads (ha!) where the water drained out and let air in to start to dry out. In fairness I stopped to actually dry out socks and such, be realistic as these aren’t magical shoes. More normal use case is that it kept my feet from becoming too sweaty which was fantastic. They are a bit wide, which was very nice for stability, just had to cinch them up a bit tighter. The cost of the width and sold is a little weight. I’m not a runner so prefer the features. Bottom line, I’ve been looking for a lighter option adding to the classic Merrill Moabs and think this actually also replaces them for wilderness terrain. For rocks, might still keep the Moabs based exclusively on the soles. That’s a personal preference tho and unvetted so take it for what it’s worth. ... show more
