Without a doubt my favorite shoe for work. I’m a HVAC tech and blow through cloth shoes. Might get 4 months out of a pair if I’m lucky. Not these though. These shoes last me over a year wearing them all week Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. They are so water resistant that they are almost waterproof. They get wet constantly from me cleaning equipment and that’s including using chemicals to clean the coils with and stay in perfect condition and my feet stay dry. I will continue to buy these on an annual basis as long as they are available and at this point wouldn’t consider anything else. I’ve been using them for years. They are also very comfortable and very supportive. Your foot locks into the shoe keeping your heel from slipping. You cant kick these shoes off, they have to be unlaced.     • The Most Comfortable Shoe I've Worn In Many Years with No Break-in Period!

I've worn many supportive running shoes over the years, including Brooks Beast. The problem with most running shoes today is the tops wear out. It's not unusual to find a hole in the fabric where my big toe is. These shoes support just as well as Brooks Beast, but the tops are made of a leather like material instead of fabric. Not only that, but you can apply black shoe polish to keep them shiny and new looking for dressy occasions. But the best part is total foot support. Total comfort from the very moment I put them on. NO BREAK-IN PERIOD! It would be nice if Brooks made these with genuine leather. I would have purchased a pair in white, but Amazon did not have them in stock in my size. One of the reviewers complained of the sole rubber separating at the toe junction. Not even these shoes will last forever. However, a bit of hot adhesive from a hot glue gun can perform magical fixes ;-) ... show more

    • Good, Sturdy, Shoe For pronation, low arches and plantar fasciitis

I’ve been wearing these shoes for a little over a year now and they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. They are absolutely phenomenal with plantar fasciitis and severe pronation toward the inside of your feet. They have a bar support inside them so it keeps arch in the natural position it’s supposed to be in countering the pronation which prevents the plantar fasciitis symptoms. tried at least 50 pairs of shoes before these because I stand for 12 hours a day in retail and no matter what my plantar fasciitis symptoms and knees would hurt really bad. I would find after just a few weeks most shoes would bow inward toward the inside of my arch. These shoes have not done that in over a year and they feel like they’re out of the box. I even brought them to my podiatrist and orthopedic surgeon and they said this is a very well-made shoe very sturdy. Probably the best you can get so if you have any of the issues I listed above, I would recommend this shoe it takes away almost all the pain completely. ... show more

I have been a waitress for over 30 years. When I started to have back problems, finding an excellent shoe for work wasn’t easy. The older you get, the more you are willing to spend. After my first spinal surgery, I had to get serious with the shoes. When I discovered these on Amazon, I was over the moon. The shoes you need to perform a job like mine need to be 1. Slip resistant 2. Solid black if you work at a higher level 3. Comfortable, it’s hard to tell when just trying on 4. Arch support, but hard to find with all the above requirements 5. Can handle wear and tear. 6. I’m not going to say washable, because I wipe mine with a wet cloth when needed. I am female, so I had to buy a men’s 2 sizes smaller. The fit was perfect. I wore them to work the day they arrived. OMGosh. I was floating around the restaurant. These shoes are so comfortable and do not need to be broken in. I was very worried about how slip resistant they would be, these shoes are not made for servers. I didn’t have one slip. My coworkers started asking me (that same night) about my shoes. When I told them they were Brooks they didn’t believe me or thought I had lost my mind. Any server with a bad back has tried to find solid black Brooks that were slip resistant and not $200. These brooks shoes addiction Walkers 2 the quality of the shoes are really comfortable I can literally wear them all day for 10 or more hours a day for work and going on walks. I normally walk at least 5 miles a day in these shoes. The brooks fit me perfectly and I’m a size 8. The arch support for the shoes are good they are comfortable on my foot and heels. I bought these shoes on a deal on the Amazon website under $100. I would deff buy these shoes again in a heartbeat. ... show more
