I went in search of a lighter weight version of the Glycerine 19 GTS and I found it. I’ve battled plantar fasciitis over the past year or so. I’ve spend thousands on treatment and shoes and boots and then stumbled across a retired marathon and endurance racer who battled the same. She got me pointed in the right direction in a stability shoe. If you over pronate or are looking for a stability running shoe the GTS will probably work for you. I have a wide foot so I ordered the wide and they fit perfectly. I’ve got about 25 miles on them and they are working nicely. ... show more

I have flat feet and I overpronate. I did some research and I chose these sneakers 👟. Gives me support and confidence and comfort when I jump and do lunges in exercise class. It fits true to size. I have been running on Brooks for the better part of 6 years. I average 25 to 30 miles a week, and these are light and comfortable. I am 6'2", 215 lbs. Deffantly cushion the road, and work well on mixed roads.

I'm a big guy and these shoes give great arch and heel support. The toe box is more comfortable than the Ravenna 10. Took a minute off my first 4 mile run in these shoes.

Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Black/Grey/Blue
Great shoe. Comfortable and durable. And, they fit very well. After several decades with Nike, I finally had to leave them behind. Nike shoes are, for the most part, constructed on the narrow side. Even Nike's wide shoes are built on the narrow side. Furthermore, for several years, it has been next to impossible to get a Nike running shoe in a wide size. I am very happy to have found these excellent Brooks stability shoes. And, their sizing is very accurate. They are responsive and not spongy and they are definitely stable for one, such as I, who tends to pronate, especially on long runs. My only complaint is that the Brooks GTS 8'S come with very flimsy laces that constantly come untied and are difficult to handle in low-light conditions. This issue is complicated by the fact that the lace holes are too small to accommodate more substantial laces. Consequently, I have to enlarge the holes with a drill bit so that I can replace the flimsy laces with something I can feel when I am trying to tie them in poor light conditions. ... show more

First of all, I am not writing this review as a runner. I work in a Hospital and am on my feet all day walking 5-6 miles, so I purchased these for this reason. The shoes have a firm feel as advertised by Brooks, but do not provide the extra cushion that I need for long hours at my job. I also have a pair of Brooks Glycerin which have a great cushioning effect that I need for my job, but these are too firm for my work needs. But......I do like the style and use them primarily when going to the gym, so am happy with them. BTW, the picture on Amazon shows a white bottom sole, when it is actually grey. Not a deal breaker, but just thought I'd mention it. ... show more
