I received my new Brooks the day before I left for a 10 trip of Italy. They seemed a bit snug but then I realized they just really hugged my foot. I took them on my trip and the first day I walked 20K steps....not any rubbing. They didn't need any time to break them in. I cannot recommend these shoe enough! I have an injury and typically have pain/ discomfort when walking a lot. I had none. They are worth every penny. When we got home I wore an old pair of shoes to run errands..not a lot of walking... and my feet (heel pain) hurt right away. Needless to say I will only be wearing my Brooks going forward :)

Truly the only running shoes I’ll buy. Very comfortable and great for walking daily 3-5 miles like I do. My only complaint I have is that Brooks ghosts 14 are more narrow in the toe area then any of their other Brook ghosts shoes that I’ve worn. I’ve never been anything but a size 8 in all my shoes that I wear but I decided to buy a size 8.5 this time and I’m very happy I did. They fit perfect. The half size gave me exactly the extra room I needed in the toe area and I’m truly satisfied. Highly recommend Ghosts but size up possibly half size for little more room.

I was hesitant to spend this much money on a pair of sneakers for walking my dog, but I've been plagued with relentless plantar fasciitis pain in my right heel, and it has kept me from being active the way I want to be. I was in constant, 24/7 pain, even when sitting. It was excrutiating, and I just couldn't take it any more. I joined a support group on Facebook, and tons of people recommended these shoes specifically. I was willing to try anything at that point, so I used the "try before you buy" program to see how they worked for me. I felt a difference as soon as I put them on! The most noticeable difference is that this particular shoe gives your foot a pronounced tilt forward, taking the constant pressure off your heel and shifting the impact forward to the ball of your foot. This brought immediate relief! Also, I had purchased some Dr. Scholls Plantar Fasciitis insoles previously to use in other shoes, and I noticed that the insoles that come in these shoes are almost identical to the thickness and shape of those, except that the ones in these shoes have an even higher arch support. I can walk in these and not feel like I'm walking on rocks under my heel. When I sit, there's not the constant, throbbing pain that continues. I experienced relief from the very first day I put them on, and it has gradually improved. So I didn't even need the full 7-day trial to know that these were golden! So if you have this type of foot problem, feel confident that these shoes will help you ease the discomfort. Also, I have a very narrow foot, and I was pleasantly surprised that this brand sells narrow widths. My narrow (and thin from top to bottom) foot usually makes it quite difficult to get a good fit in any type of shoe, but these are magical! This was my first Brooks purchase, but I will definitely be back again when I need to replace these shoes. I highly recommend them! I'm also pleasantly surprised that such a solid, supportive shoe is so very lighweight. I didn't expect they would be so airy, but they really are so great for everyday wear.

I normally wear a 7.5 wide and purchased a 7.5 double wide due to having a Stress Fracture. These are the best sneakers I have ever had. They are breathable, comfortable, wide not only on the toe area but on the top which makes the sneakers so much comfortable. I am a little chunkier on the top also. I can wear these sneakers all day and my feet do not suffer; no more pain while I walk. The sneakers provide the support that is needed to let my foot heal. Highly recommended and worth the price. They are very well made, the color I chose is vibrant and they look good with anything I wear. Including wearing them with a nice pair of jeans and a blazer. I would like to see them more colors; especially since I work in a professional environment. All black perhaps or all in white; etcetera. If you have problems with your feet and you are wide but a little chunky on the top, I recommend the double wide. These truly fit as expected; choose your regular size.

These are great because they're wider than most other shoes (even without ordering a wide size) and they don't hurt my feet. I just had ACL surgery so I'm putting a lot of weight on one foot since one knee isn't as strong yet. All of the other shoes I tried, like Air Max and Ultra Boost shoes, were very narrow and still caused me pain on the outer side of my feet. These aren't as bouncy as I would have liked, but it's something I can give up for comfort. The only thing is that you definitely need to size up. I normally wear a 8-8.5, but after reading reviews, I went with a 9 and there's some room at the top, but it just ensure I have enough room. Even with the size 9, it doesn't make my foot look super big. I would recommend these to anyone. We'll see how they hold up over time.

I've been using Brooks for decades.. Started out with the Adrenaline and have been buying Ghost for a few years. I did notice that the width on the Ghost 14 was a bit more narrow, but I still have room in the toe area. The first time I used them, there was a noticeable rise in the arch. I was concerned, but walked 3 miles in them. I did not have discomfort afterwards. And I have not noticed the arch problem at all since, so it must have adjusted itself to my feet. So I recommend to try them a few times in order to break in the shoe.

Love the blue. I ordered a 1/2 size up to fit my new custom arch orthotics and they work perfect and look very, very nice. Comfy. Some new running shoes with their extended heel or their back of shoe odd winged outedness extension or their raised height make your feet look stupidly long and just clunky. You could easily fall down or trip with shoes that are that high and long. I use for daily walking --sometimes 6 miles but mostly 2 miles. I am female, 74yrs and 5'6 and 3/4 android. And a smooth walker. And have tried all brands over the years.
