(This reviewer has competed in road races and distance running sports). From out of the box on day one, it is obvious this shoe is ready for marathons. It is structured like a tank and weighs less than a feather. I am a previous purchaser of Brooks running shoes, and their products' quality is increasing. Brooks does not claim waterproofness of the GTS 22, but in practice outdoors it really repels water and never feels "soggy". Some friendly warnings which should not detract from the GTS 22's quality : The tongue is harder than most shoes, and you should pull it towards the inside of your foot so that it wraps your bone on the top of your foot. The lacing can be extremely tight, and you will want to lace it slightly loosely even for running. Without doing both the tongue can cause discomfort on the top of your foot. For those who might have arch problems -- support directly under the arch is basically non-existent. In this sense, Adrenaline GTS 22 tends to favor runners whose feet point directly forward during racing. Not recommended for those with shorter length feet and high arches.

Decided to switch from my glycerin to this adrenaline GTS to get more support. So far I have 50 miles in on these shoes and they are definitely more firm than the Glycerin but not uncomfortable. The support from GTS helps make it feel more stable. However I use these for walking - so for running it may be more effective in stabilizing the ankles - I’d get these again. I like that they came with a dark sole which don’t show dirt as much.

These are one of the best gym shoes I’ve owned. They are true to size, snug fit, but plenty of room in the toe box portion of the shoe. I have had them for several months and they appear to be holding up well. I’m now sold on Brooks.

I got a size 9 and it fits perfect, unlike Nike size 9 tends to fit a bit loose. The shoe supports and breathes really well. Sole absorbs good amount of shock. I have only had it for a week so can't say much about longevity. The stiffeners on back of heel are good to prevent that area from collapsing. Shoes look great and can be an alternative for work wear if you work allows casual shoes. I would definitely recommend and repurchase these.

I’m 2 months out from Achilles surgery and I’m able to transition from my surgical boot. I needed a supportive shoe with a large heel to toe drop. Brooks is one of the few manufactures that make 12MM heel drops. The shoe is very stable and I’m able to walk right away despite a considerably weakened leg. It will be months before I can run again but this shoe is perfect to get me going again.

I run 100-130 miles a month. These are amazing running shoes! Especially if you pronate (feet angle out when standing flat…left foot angles left, right foot angles right). Reduces knee pain by aiding on proper foot movement and placement while running.
