I love this mug! I love the bright red color! I love how it comes with a straw, straw cleaning brush, and lid. I love the hole in the lid for the straw! It's not too big or small. I haven't added any legos to mine, I like the bare brick look to it. There is some silver paint on the handle, you can hardly tell, but it's not supposed to be there. It's kind of uncomfortable to hold and as another review stated, you have to open your mouth a bit wider because the rim of the mug is pretty thick. Unless you want to drink from the front of the mug, but that's kind of awkward too. I have washed this mug (hand-washed - as stated in directions) and it seems to be holding up good. I was a little worried water would get trapped in it somehow, but that hasn't happened. When I wash it, I just do the inside and the rim where I drank from. I try not to get the outside of the mug wet, because it is kind of hard to get a rag into the crevices to dry it. After a couple of hours, the outside does dry so I don't really worry about mold growing. I clean it as soon as I can, so hopefully nothing will stain or be too hard to get out. As stated on the directions, I wouldn't put the cup in the microwave, because I'd be afraid the plastic would warp. Also, I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher, because the heat also might warp the plastic and another review stated water will get trapped inside. ... show more

I bought this as a gift for a friend's almost 13 year old son. It has gotten difficult to find good gifts for him as he gets older. He always loved Legos. He has been stuck at home, doing school work on line. I though this could help brighten up his desk at home. He LOVED it! He says it keeps him busy while he has to sit through the teachers explaining things repeatedly. I am not promoting ignoring teachers, just saying he is a smart boy he understands with one explanation. I am pretty sure he doesn't drink from it, but he keeps it on his desk, and rotates the figures and things he has decorated it with on a regular basis. Of course, any of his Legos work. It is a super fun, funky, creative and useful gift. So glad I ordered it. I was not sure what color to get but the orange was a good choice; more unique. The media could not be loaded. I love my morning coffee. Well, I stumbled upon the Build-On Brick Coffee Mug, and I thought, why not make my daily caffeine fix a little more playful and fun? So, I had to get my hands on this quirky mug! Pros: 1. First off, it's a brick mug! How cool is that? It's like having a mini LEGO set with your coffee. Building and sipping simultaneously is the ultimate stress-buster. Plus, it's a solid, well-made mug. No leaks, no spills, just perfect for holding your favorite brew. 2. It's customizable. You can build your own design on the outside with the bricks it comes with or use your own bricks. I've created a few things already including the crane in the picture. It's like having a new mug every day. And guess what? It's microwave safe, so no fuss there. 3. It comes with a bunch of accessories including bricks, figures, a telescoping metal straw, and a brush to clean it, very good deal. Cons: 1. The handle could be a tad bigger. If you've got big hands, it might feel a bit snug. But honestly, it's a small price to pay for all the fun. 2. The lid doesn't turn and lock in, so it serves as merely decoration for the play aspect of it not to actually seal it. 3. Not LEGO branded but hey, still works the same way. I bought this for my husband (as a Xmas gift from our daughter) specifically because my husband likes to cover his coffee. The box we received did not only not have the lid but also lacks the Santa that it was promoting. We will keep it because she would be disappointed if he didn't, and to be honest those aren't big issues, the biggest draw back my husband said is trying to drink from the cup itself because the lip of the mug is thick. He will probably use it as a pencil cup or such. (Pictured is everything we DID receive in the box) ... show more

I had purchased many years ago, another similar mug from another manufacturer. When it came, the package was torn and I was uncomfortable giving it as a gift. I knew that my 12-year-old nephew, a LEGO fanatic, would appreciate such a gift. My previous purchase was only available in grey - I was so pleased when I found one in his favorite color, green! After I put my order in, i saw that his mother had put a grey one on his wishlist - I can't wait for him to open this green one! I opened the shipping packaging, to find a very nice gift box, and to my surprise, it said that there was a santa and two mini kits inside! I know my other one didn't come with any bricks. Inside that box, was the mug itself, in another clear plastic gift box - with indeed, two mini kits (They are not LEGO brand, but they're certainly more than I expected! sadly, no santa - but I hadn't counted on one anyway). I think that this mug has more points of brick connection than my last purchase - and the plastic itself it marked safe for food use and feels of good quality.
