I used to use Walmart brand paper towels to save money. But really you end up buying more because they're not as sturdy as they claim. Brawny truly is the best.     • Brawny Brand Is Very Absobent
Not sure whether these are actually 2x the size of a regular roll, but they appear relatively thick, and are reasonably priced, esp compared to the 4x roll which is over $7; these are $4.99 for 2. Like the ability to pull off the size you need, and the perforations allow for easy tearing.

They are super absorbant, soaking up a lot of fluid for cleaning and can be used as napkins with the option of the smaller size. Great price too with supermarket hikes & comes right to your door.

The best part about these is that you can tear a full sheet, half sheet, or quarter sheet (just the square, if you want to spare a square). This minimizes paper towel waste.
