  • Great Stamping Hammer
I had been doing stamping with a much lighter hammer, and sometimes that means having to restamp if I didn't hit hard enough. This hammer isn't too heavy, but there's enough weight that it does part of the work for you. Handle is much more comfortable than I expected, and while the face of the hammer gets a little messed up, that's to be expected and shouldn't be a problem. ... show more

  • Works as advertised.
Works better and with less bounce-back than the steel hammer I was using.

  • Breaks Easily
Broke after the second time using it. The handle is made of aluminum.

  • Actually nice size after all.
Thought it was going to be bigger.

  • Handle is junk and can break...
Good Hammer, I didn't realize that the handle was a thin hollow pipe (which broke at the threads) with a metal rod in the middle. Flimsy design, good head, but if your using this change the handle if your going to use it like a 2lb maul which it is. I'm just lucky i was swinging this underhand when it broke, what was happening is when i made contact with the face on a driveshaft the head wanted to spin. I tried stopping this by glueing the handle in the head. but apparently the torsion that the head was exerting broke the handle after only a few swings after it was glued. the handle is made out of a really thin walled pipe with a good plastic/rubber grip which seems solid. I'm going to try and mix up a big batch of JBweld to put this thing back together and just coat the whole inside with epoxy... honestly if i had known i would have replaced the handle before i glued the threads. ... show more

  • Good product other than that
The handle gets loose at the head sometimes when punching dies or heavy work. I just re-tighten the top and screw it back in firmly. You probably need to glue it for long term use. Good product other than that.

  • Good hammer for metal work
Excellent for hammering 18 gauge copper sheet into submission.
