I ordered this Brachiosaur Construction Dump Truck Excavator Toy set for my grandson. My grandson loves vehicles of any type and enjoys playing with construction equipment. This dump truck and excavator combination looks nice and is made of metal. The vehicles themselves are pretty small, which you might expect given that they are designed to a 1:50 scale. They are 100% kid-operated. In other words, there is no type of motor (pull back, friction, etc.) on either toy. Some kids will hate that aspect, but my grandson far prefers vehicles that he can totally control. Although the listing shows picture of these vehicles being used at a beach, they are likely to get lost pretty quickly that way. As indoor or backyard toys, though, they are great. The excavator, in particular, gets points for having very realistic looking moving parts.

Good little toy that has some good detail. I put this on my O scale layout and its close enough in size for what I am using it for. Its pretty inexpensive and detailed for what it is. Would make a great gift for a kid too. The grab rails are delicate and arrived broken on mine, so watch out for that.

If your child is a fan of the mighty construction site books, specifically the Kid McGear one, they will love this toy. While this doesn’t have the attachments from the book, the interchangeable parts makes this skid steer ready to work, and help if there’s trouble. My son loves changing out the accessories for whatever job his crew has got to do that day, and has no problem changing them himself. The biggest issue is remembering where he put them. This tool is fun, promoted imaginative play, independent play, and gets kids playing in the dirt. The best part about skid steer is its versatility, and teaching kids big jobs need the help of small machines.
