This down comforter is so soft, fluffy and light. After removing from the bag, I put it in the dryer for 20 minutes on fluffy and it was perfect. I put it on my bed right away and was in love with how much it fluffed up. And when I got under it, oh my goodness. I did not realize how heavy my 2 comforters were until I used this one. I had 2 in order for it just to look fluffy (which it didn't 😫) and with the added duvet, I could barely move my feet at night. This comforter is so light and it doesn't slip down the foot of the bed due to the weight. I have also found that it keeps me at a good temp during the night. I am always freezing when I get into bed but get hot during the night. I have not found myself getting really hot or sweaty at night which is a huge plus over my old comforters. The feathers in the comforter have great recovery. You can lay something on top of it that smashes it down but it always bounces back. Still most likely I will order another to really achieve the fluffy look that I want.

Once you stick this in the dryer, wow! It poofs up and, if you’ve never had a down comforter before, you’re in for a treat! It’s much lighter than a regular comforter. But SINCE it’s not heavy, it can stay on the bed in the summer and easily kicked off if you get warm. I live where it gets really hot, so it’s nice to have something light like this but can still keep you warm in the winter. (Well, winter where I live anyway. hahah) I haven’t been poked by sharp feathers sticking out too. ;-) I love that the feathers don’t all clump down at your feet… they stay distributed relatively evenly throughout the entire comforter.

This is a very heavy down queen sized duvet. We have washed this three times. The blanket takes a long time o to dry. I use the regular dryer and then add a couple of tennis balls and a few dryer sheets. After two times it was dry enough to hang on the outdoor clothesline. The other point I want to mention is that it arrived bright white, but after a few washings (and nothing else washes with this) it was a dull off-white. If you like weighted blankets for sleeping, this a good choice. I need to purchase a duvet cover to make me happier. It keeps me super comfy at night. I dnon’t need a flat sheet on my mattress if I am using the duvet.

Definitely put it in the dryer for about 20-30 mins to get it nice and fluffed up! Very happy with this comforter, I get SO hot when I sleep, but I need the weight of a blanket and a comforter in order to fall asleep. This comforter provides just enough heat, I don't get too sweaty when I'm falling asleep, and if I do get too hot in the middle of the night, I can just kick it off, lol. The stitching is high quality, and I appreciate the baffle box (just learned that term!) so the feathers stay evenly distributed, def recommend!

I'll be honest and admit that this is my first down comforter so I'm not entirely sure what to expect. However, I've been surprised at how warm it is, especially after following the instructions to fluff it up. On that note, it may actually be a little too warm at times and I am not confident in continuing to use this into the summer. I think it is a perfect Fall-Spring comforter paired with a light duvet cover. The loops to fasten the duvet covers have held pretty well so far and the comforter remains resistant to kicking and tearing. It's really well-made - just make sure you follow the instructions to the tee on airing it out for any smells etc. I would recommend bringing it into a laundromat with large dryers, putting a couple scented sheets in there and then letting it air out with ventilation for a day or two (sun helps!).
