This sauce is a great value for the money!! The thickness is great (we also add a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes from Amazon) you can also do plain diced. That with the sauce extends the servings and doesn’t make it watery, it makes it perfect thickness for us. It’s just so flavorful. I have tried a lot of other ones, which we usually find too sweet or more on the herb side. This one is a good balance for us. Definitely worth giving it a shot if you have not tried it. We were hunting for a sauce we didn’t have to doctor up and could just add to pasta, this is it.

This is a good canned sauce. I'm not quite sure what some other reviewers are referring to when the say it has a taste of truffle. Mine didn't have any. It's nowhere on the label, and I probably wouldn't have purchased had I seen that. Now this is a pizza sauce. I bought it primarily for dipping. Pizza sauce should be rather smooth, and this sauce isn't just a little bit chunky. It's not a deal breaker, but it is worth noting. I'm not a huge fan of carrots in tomato sauce. It's a nice change every once in a while, but I can taste the carrots. It seems a bit out of place on a pizza. I'm picky about tomatoes. I cook with them a lot, and there are times when I just prefer a canned sauce because the satisfaction I'd get out of a homemade sauce for something like dipping cheese sticks isn't worth the work I'd put into it. This sauce works okay for dipping. It's not my favorite because I can taste the carrots. I actually made a pizza with it, though, and when it's used as a medium to join the meat, sauce, cheese, and crust together, it's texture is better than what I can make from scratch. The flavor is almost there. I added some fresh basil and oregano to it, but it lies just a bit short on the "tang" factor. That said, it still made an excellent pizza. To me, a good tomato sauce is all about how it melds with what you're applying it to. Since it worked so well on a pizza, I would have to imagine it would well with a pasta like cavatappi, though possibly a bit too think for spaghetti. I'd probably add some fresh onion and garlic to it, though, if I was going to use it as a pasta sauce.

Best vodka sauce on Prime, after testing all of them. Rao's was good as usual, but not creamy enough—this is creamy and barely more calories. And it's cheaper! Incredible deal.

Pasta sauce, This may have been a open jar that wasn't sealed properly. I am so glad I didn't feed this particular product to my family and friends. This single jar of "Botticelli" Tomato & Parmigiano Reggiano premium pasta sauce of two purchased could of had a very bad outcome on whom ever Family members that would have consumed it. I have worked and retired from a lifetime career as an USDA Food meat and poultry inspector. I am sure quality control could have easily missed this jar of product. Without any testing of this particular jar of sauce I could share this with certainty that a food born illness could be manufactured in this jar of sauce. I don't want this review to be taken the wrong way but it was fortunate that my children that were preparing our meals, seen that some thing was not right about the black mold under the lid made it easy to detect that the seal was not intact when opening.
