As soon as I saw this mug, I knew it was just right for me. When I get up in the morning I like to drink a lot of coffee. This usually means having to go back to the coffee pot two or three times. This big mug is the perfect size for me. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was how well it was packaged with a styrofoam insert just made for it. It is highly unlikely that it would be damaged in shipment, but just in case, the seller has inserted a card saying they will replace the mug if it arrives damaged. I love the beautiful rustic look of the mug. On the base it says that it is lead-free and dishwasher/microwave safe. I presume that is correct. This is not a dainty mug. It is meant for the serious coffee or hot tea drinker and weighed just under 20 ounces, when empty, on my kitchen scales. Despite its weight and the severe arthritis in my hand, I had no difficulty lifting it, as the four fingers of my right hand fit around the handle. I wanted to see if it was really a 23 ounce mug, so I measured out water and put it the mug. It does hold 23 ounces, but only if you fill it completely. I suggest that you fill it to about an inch of the top, to avoid spilling hot coffee on yourself. This mug would make a great gift. In addition to using it for coffee or hot tea, you could use it as a soup mug. I really, really like it and plan to use it daily. ... show more

This has become my new favorite coffee mug! I love the look of it, though I'd like a little darker green if I'm going to be picky. It's easy to hold, and holds a lot of coffee which makes me happy! It also keeps the coffee warmer longer than typical mugs, unless it's just in my head, not super sure. I always hand wash it, and it's remained looking awesome. Hands down best coffee cup I have ever owned... and I have owned A LOT. Firstly, gah! So dreamy. I saw this cup and knew I had to have it. The colors and design are absolutely beautiful. The glaze is done very well and it has such a nice hand and mouth feel. Secondly, the size. Couldn't ask for a better sized coffee cup. Sometimes with larger cups, the base or rim area are too wide which usually results in my coffee cooling off way faster than I would like. This cup has just the right proportions of width to height so that my beverage stays nice and hot...even with such a large quantity. Also, the handle is just the right size... which is soooo important. Lastly, and I may be dreaming, but it even seems like my coffee smells and tastes better in this mug. To top it all off, it's microwave/dishwasher safe. Bonus! I seriously love everything about this mug, and I will probably buy a bunch more. ... show more

If you want a big cup of coffee, this mug nails the proportions, big but still stable and easy to hold. The color and glaze are great, packaged very well, giftable box. Big enough for 20 ounces of coffee, some creamer and not so full that you can't walk across the room with it.
